Getting learning off to a flying start.
Aspire nurseries, led by qualified and knowledgeable staff, lay firm foundations for children in their early years. A qualified teacher from each school oversees the curriculum, learning environments and learning outcomes in conjunction with the Nursery Lead. Staff strive to ensure all children have an equal chance of success, informed by knowledge of what can be achieved.
Our nurseries, the children, families, our dedicated teams and the local community, are an integral part of the Aspire Academy Trust. We recognise the need for high quality early education where children flourish through the love and care given by all of our practitioners.

We know the importance for our nurseries to have strong and respectful partnerships with parents so every child can develop during their early years and that everyone plays an active role in ensuring this is successful.
Our number one goal is to ensure all children, within our family of Nurseries, grow stronger and achieve through high-quality early education and the care that we are able to offer.

I would like to welcome you to Treverbyn Nursery (Trailblazers).
Manager
Elaine Taylor
I was one of the founder members of the Trailblazers team, who first created a nursery provision at Treverbyn in 1997.

We strive for the best possible outcomes for all children using the Early Years Foundation Stage, recognising that every child is unique. We provide high quality care through a well-motivated, knowledgeable and committed team of practitioners. We create a wide range of fun opportunities for all children, enabling them to learn through their play, build friendships and develop confidence.
We believe that high quality outside spaces are essential to a child’s holistic development. Our outdoor learning environment includes a mud kitchen, a bug hotel and fire pit, in addition to opportunities for tree climbing and den building. These all enable children to take risk in our safe environment.

We are proud of our 'Good' grading from Ofsted (July 2019). It highlighted children’s behaviour as exemplary, stated that children understand and follow the rules exceptionally well and have the utmost respect for others and their environment.

Vision & Values
Our values

Aspiration– a hope or ambition to achieve something.

Perseverance– continuing to do something despite not achieving immediate success.

Collaboration– the action of working with someone to achieve something.

Compassion– the ability to understand others and work positively to support their feelings or situation.
Our Vision

Our vision is to provide a welcoming, sociable, opportunity-rich environment that safely challenges all children, enabling them to meet their full potential.

Our aims

The Academy aims to provide inspirational opportunities in order to enable children to take control of their own lives in the community, through an environment which both challenges and supports.
Early Years Curriculum
The Early Years Foundation Stage (often called the EYFS) is a crucial part of a child’s education. In nursery, the children's days consists of play-based learning and some structured, adult-led activities, both indoors and outdoors. Our curriculum is designed to allow all children to develop their independence and social skills, enabling them to grow into happy, confident learners who are ready to start the next stage of their journey in school. Click this link to read more about the EYFS framework.
