Beliefs Statement
At The Robert R. Church Elementary, we believe in providing an instructional, safe environment by using a variety of teaching strategies that will accommodate a diverse population with multiple learning styles.
We believe in providing a learning community that will support learning and achievement. We believe in utilizing Shelby County Schools Curriculum and Implementation Guide to direct instruction.
We believe in utilizing authentic assessments to routinely monitor students' progress and plan for future instructions.
We believe in involving all stakeholders, students, and faculty in policy-making decisions. We believe in collaborating with teachers, administrators, parents, and the community concerning policies. We believe in sharing new policies with all stakeholders.
We also believe that all students can learn and develop into productive citizens; therefore, learning is the primary focus of all decisions impacting the work of the school.
Message from Mr. Fifer
Greetings,
It is truly an honor and a privilege to serve as Principal at the very best elementary school THE Robert R. Church, and the Whitehaven community. I recognize all students come to school with all the necessary gifts, talents and tools needed to be successful. However, negative influences, surroundings, non-rigorous and data-less based instruction often stifle their academic growth. As Principal of THE RRC, my dynamic leadership team and I pledge to positively impact our student’s lives by supporting and empowering our faculty to instill knowledge, inspire courage, enhance imagination, and create determination in all our students. I anticipate our most successful year increasing student growth and achievement by supporting our scholars academically, socially, and emotionally while simultaneously providing exciting and challenging opportunities through the eyes of a child. THE Robert R. Church Elementary School has rich traditions and a culture of excellence that are the result of amazing partnerships between the staff, parents, and the Whitehaven community. Through these partnerships, we will work hard to continue the legacy of success established at our school.
Let’s keep our school Relevant. Authentic. Fun.
Have a fantastic school year--#throughtheeyesofachild
Committed to excellence,
Mr. Marqui G. Fifer, Principal
Mr. Fifer
Message from the Yearbook Committee
As a family at The RRC, we shared moments of joy and moments of sadness during this unforeseen time. Every experience and emotion brought us closer together. Whether virtual or in person, the yearbook committee has been truly blessed to capture all of these special memories and collect them here for you!

We hope, that as you reminisce on the 2020-2021 school year, you don't focus on the negative. Instead, find yourself immersed in the moment of now. All of your hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed.

You are The RRC! You are the strongest school!
