GROWTH - It means increase in size , height and weight i.e quantitative changes. It can be easily observed and measured , its an intrinsic process . It is a part of development . eg- increase in height , weight .

DEVELOPMENT - It is a series of changes which an organism undergoes in passing from an embryonic state to maturity . It is an orderly progression of change towards maturity . growth stops after some period but development goes on.
eg. if we measure height of the child then we are dealing with growth but when we the child is able to keep the object on high place or is able to write with pen then we are dealing with growth.

1. HEREDITARY AND BIOLOGICAL FACTORS
hereditary factors are those which are transmitted from parents to their offspring through genes
(i) Physique - its your physical appearance like your eyes colour , height , deformaities like blindness , dumbness

(ii) Intelligence - it is the ability to adjust , to learn to adjust and to make right decision at right time . It is hereditary , and all aspect of individual development like emotional , cognitive , social , language , moral is influenced and controlled by intelligence.

(iii) Sex difference - boys are assertive , vigorous , tough and adventures. Girls are kind , cheerful , humble , . girls attain maturity earlier than boys.

Socialization is a process in which the person learns to behave according to social standard and make social adjustment.
