Now you know the story of Harmony Grove. Starting in the fall of 2021, the school community and the residents of Framingham can write a new chapter for the school's history and for the history of Harmony Grove. See you in the fall!

In the fall of 2020, the Framingham School Committee decided that a new name is a good decision for the school. While President Woodrow Wilson did some good work for our country, he did not support opportunities for black and white people to work together. Our school supports people of all differences like skin color, languages spoken, different kinds of families, religions, and much more. We support inclusivity--people with differences coming together.

However, the school's name will be changing from Woodrow Wilson to Harmony Grove Elementary School.

This is what Harmony Grove looks like today close up. The land on which Harmony Grove sits has a sign, a house, and some plaques recognizing the significance of Harmony Grove. You can visit this important location in Framingham anytime. What do you think when you hear the word Harmony? What do you see when you hear the word Grove?

A long time ago, the Woodrow Wilson School was built to educate children in Framingham. The school was named for President Woodrow Wilson. Many years later, this building was torn down and the building where you go to school today was built. Our building is bright, spacious, and has a lot of windows.

First, many things about our school will stay the same such as it will be the same building.

Harmony Grove was a peaceful and welcoming place where people spoke about their feelings towards treating ALL people fairly, no matter their skin color or if they were a man or woman. Harmony Grove made one feel good to visit, listen to other people share their thoughts, and act respectfully. What do these words mean? Harmony- Peace, nice sounds Grove- Trees
