“What’s that smell?” Jerry wondered in his head. It was 10.00 PM and Jerry was in his cozy bed watching Netflix on TV. He smelt this weird smoke smell but he didn’t care. It was around 10.30 PM and he kept smelling the weird smoke smell so he paused the show he was watching and hopped out of bed to check what was going on. It was the smell of the smoke that drew him towards the door… 

When he reached it, a blanket of grey, wispy smoke crept out from underneath, crawling over his shoes like a colony of ants. Thrusting the door open, he was hit  by a wall of intense heat. In the centre of the room was a circle of fire. The deadly, golden flames danced into the air as they devoured the wooden floor.  

Jerry stood there, panicking, it was just him in the house. His parents had gone out. Jerry suddenly thought of an idea- he has always hated his parents so he threw some of his parents most beloved items in the fire. Just as he threw the items in the blazing fire, the fire had expanded even more causing the whole house to set on fire. Jerry grabbed his most important items, his phone and his teddy bear and ran out of the burning house. He was so scared and worried so he pulled out his phone and called 111. 

By the time the firefighters arrived, the house was already destroyed into tiny, black, ashy pieces. Suddenly a car with a bright light pulled up. It was Jerry’s parents. Jerry’s heart was beating as fast as a leopard. He knew he had been grounded so he hopped into the firefighters truck and drew off at 100 mph. He looked up at the rear mirror and saw his parent’s car following him. Suddenly his father got out of the car and opened the firefighter truck door.

By the time the firefighters arrived, the house was already destroyed into tiny, black, ashy pieces. Suddenly a car with a bright light pulled up. It was Jerry’s parents. He looked up at the rear mirror and saw his parent’s car following him. Suddenly his father got out of the car and opened the firefighter truck door.

 “ JERRY! WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING!?” angrily said his dad. “ uh uh I’M SORRY!!! Screamed Jerry. “ EXPLAIN TO US WHAT HAPPENED.” “ Okay fine, so what happened was there was a circle of flames in the middle of the living room. So I threw your favourite chair and the necklace that dad gave to you!” “ J-E-R-R-Y , THAT’S IT,YOU ARE GROUNDED, YOU THREW MY FAVOURITE CHAIR AND THE NECKLACE YOUR DAD GAVE TO ME IN THE FURIOUS FIRE, AND YOU BURNT THE ENTIRE HOUSE DOWN. GO SLEEP ON THE STREETS TONIGHT AND FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. GOODBYE”
