Goals and Vision
The classroom environment plays an important role in how students succeed. I believe, creating an open and warm environment often encourages students open up and feel comfortable. The emotional and physical environment students are placed in help play a vital role in their version of success.
Personally, I feel that having the students help create their own classroom environment is just as important as the work the teacher puts into while designing and refining their environment. my goal is to create a room that the students feel encourages them to succeed. Most often science rooms are white and almost sterile feeling. I hope that be eliminating that hospital feeling in the classroom I can encourage participation and engagement from my students.

My ideal or perfect classroom helps focus largely on hands on class work. Supplying the students the opportunity to sit in pairs at bench tables, or sit or stand at tall round tables in groups will hopefully contribute to discussion in the classroom. The teacher desk and work station will sit on one sit of the room with a student “chill” or reading spot next to it. This reading spot hold a small chair or loveseat, and many plants. Across the room is shelves that will also hold many more of our class pets, the plants, and reading materials that students can use.
The best advice I have received from other teachers is to let the students decorate your room. My plan is allow the students to post their work in various open spots on the walls. Many cycles and operations will be explored during the semester and allowing the students the opportunity to see their creation will always help in their learning and confidence. I plan to utilize every part of the classroom, including the ceiling. I want to respect and celebrate all cultures with the classroom, during holidays I want to hang appropriate symbolisms and decorations from the ceiling to represent them. I hope to have brief discussions about these holidays to explore more cultures.

Meet our class pets!
Plants are an amazing renewable resource within the science classroom. With their easy availability and quick regrowth rate that are the perfect species to perform and tests on. Along with that plants clean the air and provide beautiful scenery in many environments
