It's not the children's fault that they are hungry.

Kids can't help being hungry. They did not do anything wrong. They just are hungry because of their circumstances. It's important to help because more and more kids will get hungry each day. Kids will suffer more and more until they die or they get very, very sick. That is why it's so, so important to help.

Kids' bodies are different so when kids are hungry they react in different ways. Some kids' bodies react by getting sick or having no energy or not being able to learn in school.

In this book Jackson is hungry, and he does not know what to do. You should read this book to find out how stressful it is to be hungry and poor.

Sometimes a farm is in a war zone and soldiers put bombs in farms and won't let farmers plant crops in the farm for years.

Everyday if you made everyone in the world a group of nine, one of them all will be hungry.

This is a book about a boy with an imaginary friend and a hungry belly. He  lives in America.  Hunger is not just in other countries.

1 in 9 people in the world are hungry and are trying to get food. And these people are trying to get food and water every day and we really need to help them. A couple ways people are hungry are natural disasters, global warming, floods and other things. Because of that we need to help them and here are some ways: food drives, volunteer at a soup kitchen, and much more.​

Poverty means that a person or family has little or no money and needs help every day getting food and water. And they're also poor and there homes are damp and muddy. And most of them don't even have a home.

Crenshaw tells you that anyone can be hungry. Even your next door neighbor can be hungry and you should help them.

Being hungry is out of people's control and it's not the children's fault that they're hungry and their families are hungry. People may lose their jobs. That might make them become hungry.

One in nine people in the world are hungry each day.

Feed My Starving Children is really helpful. I hope you go there! You can really make a difference. Our class made 83 boxes, 17,928 meals, and fed 49 children for a whole year. And guess what, all that cost $3,944.16. Also, that money was all donations. You can donate too.

One thing I want to tell people about helping hungry people is that I think it is important and it's very helpful and it makes you feel good.

What happens to children who are truly hungry?

This is how hungry children look with bloated tummies.

A lot of people are hungry. Children are hungry because they might have no money for food or water.

No money for food because their parents might have lost their job. There might be a flood or a tornado. They can not plant foods for the people who live there because of the land. They can't go to school and have to stay home and try to plant food.

Natural disasters can cause no crops to grow.

This is sometimes how you look like when you're hungry. You are small and skinny. You can't concentrate and you don't have enough energy. Your bones can easily break and your organs stop working. Hungry people don't have hope and a smile. You easily get sick or die. All of these things are signs of hunger.

"Sometimes I'd sleep without eating. It's very difficult and I don't like it. You spend the night hungry and in the morning, it's worse."

You should go to Feed My Starving Children to pack food for the poor and the hungry.

My idea is you should go to Feed My Starving Children. At Feed My Starving Children you help the hungry by packing food up. You can scoop or you can hold the bag. The people who are scooping the food put the food in the bag. It's super fun. It is important because you help the hungry. It makes you and the hungry happy.

Then the people take the food to the country that was hungry. We also were proud of ourselves because we packed 83 boxes 17,928 meals and we fed 49 children for a whole year! When my class went to Feed My Starving Children, we came back proud of ourselves because we had done something that was really fun and would help a lot of people. And because we knew we were doing something good, it made us happy. A lot of teachers and parents went with us.

A lot of hungry kids will get food, not just one, like a domino effect.

What you can do to help hungry children but that's not Feed My Starving Children.

Hunger is when someone does not have enough food. That's bad because when someone is hungry they can die or get diseases. They can have decaying teeth and their bones break easily. And their stomach can be bloated and swollen. It's not that they are fat, it's that they don't eat enough food. Also their smiles turned to frown because they are hungry. 

It is great when a lot of volunteers go to help the hungry. The world will be a better place and there will not be any more children hungry if everyone pitches in. Also if everyone keeps on teaching the hungry how to plant food and those children who are hungry they will be able to teach the neighborhood. Also those people teach the hungry and then there will barely be any hungry people in the world left. They will be able to have more babies and then the world will grow, grow, and grow.

When my class went to Feed My Starving Children we fed 49 kids for a year. We made 83 boxes, and 17,928 meals. I bet you can do even better. You can also make children healthy.

Hungry kids have troubles learning. One reason they need your help is they don't have food and then they don't have energy. Another reason is if they don' t have food then they get bloated tummies.That is why they have troubles learning. Would you please help hungry kids who have troubles learning?

This family is hungry because their dad died and they can't make money, so they cannot buy food.

People who are hungry don't get treats. We get treats sometimes but imagine not getting treats your whole life!

Someone's company went out of business, and now they can't buy food.

This book is about a girl with a friend who has an empty fridge. A hungry person does not have to be someone in another country.

Sometimes you may not know who is hungry. Sometimes people are obviously hungry. In the book Crenshaw a family's dad got Multiple Sclerosis. The doctor and the medicine cost a lot of money. And to make matters even worse the dad could not work. The family cannot produce enough money to get water, healthy food and a home. The kid named Jackson thought he was kind of lucky to not live on the streets begging for money. He had an imaginary friend named Crenshaw. Jackson's dad and mom didn't tell Jackson how bad the problem was. So Jackson felt even more stressed. They had poverty. We may not expect it, but families like this can even be someone you know at school or even your neighbor. That's why its important to help everyone. 1 in 9 people in the world go hungry each day. So please if you have time can you go to Feed My Starving Children or volunteer at a soup kitchen or donate food to a food pantry?
