Dancing with Him, Book Two of the Miracle Creator series

Prologue

One regular April morning, 2013, twenty-two years after Hong's dad blessed her to attend Bible College.

When the phone rang, Hong was busy organizing a library club field trip at the C.A.S.A. library in Texas.

"Hong! Daddy went to be with Jesus in Heaven early this morning!!" Cindy was crying uncontrollably on the other end of the phone in China. "Mom said Daddy's final posture was beautiful." She finally got hold of herself.

The unspeakable peace wrapped around Hong the moment she heard the news.

Cindy continued after sobbing a little while, "Mom's Pastor and his wife are with her right now. I have brought a plane ticket to Canada today, and I will arrive there tomorrow afternoon around 1:00 P.M."

Hong comforted Cindy, "I will try to fly to Canada near your arrival time. May the Lord grant you the peace and comfort He is giving me right now. Don't worry; God will take care of Mom and us."

For years, Cindy had been living half a year in Canada to take care of their parents, the other half in China, sometimes traveling all over the world with her dual citizenship, free like a bird. However, it was quite a different story for Hong's other sister, Anne, who was married in China. It was rather difficult to cut through all the red tape for her to apply for a passport and visa to travel abroad.

Chapter 1

Thousands of fond memories flooded Hong's mind on her way to Canada from Texas.

Chapter 1

Thousands of fond memories flooded Hong's mind on her way to Canada from Texas.

Daddy was quite a fighter. Having battled against his diabetic disease for years, having been in emergency rooms countless times recently, and dialysis three to four times a week, he had several tastes of death, yet he took it like a champ. Now, he has a new perfect body in Heaven with other Christ-believers, worshiping his Savior who brought him eternal peace and joy all day, no more pain nor suffering, no more pacemaker, no more dialysis nor medicine.

Daddy once was a legend, very successful in manufacturing and marketing electronic appliances and telecommunication products in China. He won many awards at home and abroad for various products... Daddy's passion was to improve people's quality of life, even if it meant pioneering in uncharted territories.

Daddy taught me the virtue of hard work. He inspired me always to be the game changer wherever I was, to be a problem solver, and to have the courage to face any challenges in life. But what was most marvelous about my dad was his faith in Christ and his dependence upon the Lord for his impossibilities after he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior...

Hong's recollection of her dad Paul was recorded in her Facebook posts on her flight to Canada. Then her heart and prayers turned to her mom Pearl, who had cared for Paul with grace and strength from the Lord for many years.

______

"MOMMY!!! I AM HERE!" Hong waved and called out when she spotted Pearl over the seats in the Canadian International Airport waiting area.

Hong still remembered that Pearl and Paul were waiting in those seats for her, with Baozi or other Chinese dim sums to quench her hunger for authentic Chinese food.

However, this time only Pearl looked older and slimmer with white hair.
