Introduction
In my first E-Book, Too Suite, I offered up a range of top tips on G Suite tools for Distance Learning. If you haven't checked it our already you can find it here at bit.ly/TooSuite.

What is an Add-on?
Add-ons are extensions developed to improve G Suite productivity in apps such as Gmail, Google Sheets, and Google Forms.

Add-ons add new capabilities to the G Suite applications they work with, help to automate tasks and improve workflow, or make third-party services or information available in G Suite.

Add-ons are built using Apps Script—a development platform based on JavaScript that allows users to create business and productivity applications quickly and easily.
To install Add-ons you head to the tool bar and 'Get Add-Ons'. In some domains, Add-Ons can be restricted.

Autocrat - for Sheets with Docs & Slides
Autocrat is a merge add-on in Google Sheets that works brilliantly for mail merge and general creating of documents in Docs or Slides.
Jobs are created based on column headers and <<tags>> in the destination template and can be automated on the submission of a Form or on a time trigger.
The generated document can be an editable Doc or Slide or a PDF.

FormMule for Forms and Sheets
FormMule comes from the same stable as Autocrat and is perfect for generating emails and alerts from a Google Sheet.



I use FormMule all the time
to generate alerts and notifications
for work flows and it's super easy.

Like Autocrat, it works from your Sheets column headers, matching the headers to tags.
You can set your job to run on certain conditions based on cell values.
Another bonus is that you can easily send from a no reply email address. Just set up your template using the tags pulled through by the Add-on.
Like Autocrat the send can be triggered by submission or setting a time.
