WHAT ARE ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS?

Our world, our only home, is getting polluted. As human population and consumption increase, our environment and nature are adversely affected. With this work, we aim to raise awareness of our children and their families about the environment and about the control of waste and garbage.

During our project, we have answered some questions about environmental problems before we think about what to do to protect our sweet earth.

WHAT TO DO TO MAKE THE EARTH BETTER?

<ul><li>Use recycled materials. </li><li>Always dispose of your waste in recycling bins.</li><li>Clean up your environment.</li><li>Don't throw rubbish on the ground.</li><li>Don't pour used oil into the sink.</li><li>Use environment friendly products.</li><li>Let's not waste water </li><li>Let's stop global warming </li><li>Let 's keep the environment clean </li><li>Stop killing animal</li><li>Educate people</li><li>Use bicycles instead of cars</li><li>Protect natural habitats of animals </li><li>Do not throw away old clothes -give them to the one in need </li><li>Plant trees </li><li>Use ozone friendly deodorants</li><li>Obey hunting rules</li></ul>

EXAMPLES FOR 3R

RECYCLE <ul><li>New bottle is made from a used shampoo plastic bottle</li><li>A new pencil case from a plastic bottle</li><li> We can make teddy bear from plastics</li><li>We can make toys from old socks and flower pots from metal cans. </li><li>New notebooks are made from used paper.</li><li>we can use glass bottles as water bottles at home </li><li>We can use plastic bottle caps to make all sorts of containers or bird feeders</li></ul>

REDUCE <ul><li>I don't buy a lot of pecils.</li><li>I do not tear the pages of my books and notebooks</li><li>I buy as much as ı need</li><li>I'm giving away my old clothes. </li><li>I make recycling products from old papers. For example: I use the clean pages of the used papers as notebooks. </li><li>we can use fabric bags instead of plastic ones.</li><li>Buy products that can be recycle ( evoid plastic or cans) </li><li>I turn off the lights if it isn't too dark</li><li>I turn off the taps while brushing my teeth or hair</li></ul>

REUSE <ul><li>I wear my elder cousin's clothes.</li><li>I water my flowers with the water I wash the fruit with.</li><li>Water drains as it warms up during the bath. Let's put it in a bucket. Let's use it for cleaning. </li><li>We can use a jam jar again to store home made pickles.</li><li>we can gather the water while waiting warm water in the shower for using it washing balconies.</li><li>Save water from the rain for the plants. Do not havea bath , just short shower </li><li>I use my elder sister's dictionaries</li></ul>
