Plot: August Pullman is ten years old and he is a boy with a craniofacial malformation, he never went to school and starts attending it in sixth grade. The principal, Mr. Tushman, chooses three students Julian, Jack and Charlotte to show him the school.
At school Auggie turns out to be an excellent student, but despite this he spends his days alone. Jack decides to get close to him and the two form a bond of friendship. Meanwhile Julian, Henry and Miles make fun of him by making jokes about his looks. On Halloween day, Auggie, wearing a costume, hears Jack tell Julian that he was his friend only for the will of the principal , so he decides not to speak to Jack anymore.
As the days went by, Jack realized the mistake he had made and apologized through Minecraft while they played and the two became friends again.
Meanwhile, Auggie make friend a new girl, Summer. Towards the end of the year, classes go on a school trip, which Julian does not attend because he is suspended. In the meantime, Auggie makes friend Julian's friends: Henry and Miles. Auggie, at the end of the school year, gets a recognition from the principal: the marginalized boy has become an example and friend of all.

Praise and critique: we think that this book conveys various values for both teenagers and adults like fear: for example in the book we can see how Auggie he’s afraid about going to school and confront with the other children, also the his parent are worry about how it will be found in school. Another value is the courage because although Auggie was embarrassed by his outward appearance.
