We are about to leave our school for ever! Only a few weeks left! We can't believe it! Time flew so quickly! Three years at Danton High School, newly renamed "Simone VEIL"!...
PGA Services was founded by TGA2 Form in 2018. It was thanks to Mr Philippe Barbey, our French/History/Geography/CME teacher.
We are grateful to him! It has been a great experience. We had to work hard to set up this school trip abroad and it was very demanding. But hard work pays off! We have always wanted to travel abroad!
We are also grateful to all the teachers, our parents and the people who helped us our dream come true !

Nous sommes sur le point de quitter notre établissement pour toujours ! Il ne reste que quelques semaines... nous n'arrivons pas à y croire ! Le temps a passé si vite ! Trois ans au lycée Danton, nouvellement renommé "Simone Veil" !...
PGA Services fut fondée par notre classe TGA2 en 2018. Ce fût grâce à Mr Philippe Barbey, notre professeur de français/histoire/géographie/éducation morale et civique. Nous lui exprimons toute notre gratitude ! Ce fut une grande expérience. Nous avons dû travailler dur pour organiser ce voyage scolaire et ce fût extrêmement demandeur. Mais nous sommes récompensés par notre travail ! Nous avons toujours voulu partir à l'étranger.
Merci aussi à tous les professeurs, nos parents et toutes les personnes qui ont contribué à ce que notre rêve devienne réalité.

Let's share Camille's school experience ...
"I was only sixteen and I would always remember my fist days at Danton High School. I didn’t choose to study Management but Home care Service instead. I have always wanted to take care of children. School has not always been a bed of roses ! So, the first day was hard but I coped with. Most of my classmates were unknown. But it took me a few months to feel better. And I met incredible people. Our teachers were nice and helpful. In 2017, a classmate and I competed in the Corporate Challenge Destination. And we won the third departmental prize. At the end of the same schoolyear, we qualified for the Regional Competition. And we won the first prize. We couldn’ believe it !
This year, I am the class representative. The atmosphere is very good. The whole class received the prize of citizenship in 2018 in Tulle.
My form and our French teacher decided to set up a high school association. The goal was to practice management and to set up a trip before leaving school.We set up this association. We called it "PGA Services". PGA services means the Administration Management Division. « Service « because the association is supposed to deliver services. We also sold chocolate boxes, cakes, bee-wraps to make money and a magazine named “Le petit OBS”. We even organized a closet party selling about 400 items, a zumba party, etc... And we raised money for the trip. Our association also received a Citizenship Award in 2018 in Tulle.
Sincerely speaking, at the beginning, I was not very excited. But this experience enriched me humanly. I am the treasurer. I am now more mature. But it also made me discover the running of an association. It was enriching because it learned to face responsibilities. It shows that we learn more easily by doing." Camille.

"J'avais à peine 16 ans et je me souviendrai toujours de mes premiers jours au Lycée Danton. J'avais choisi la section Aide et Services à la Personne et non pas Gestion Administration ! J'avais toujours voulu m'occuper des enfants. L'école !...cela n'a pas toujours été tout rose pour moi ... Donc, les premiers jours ont été difficiles mais j'ai tenu le coup. La plupart de mes camarades étaient inconnus. Mais cela m'a pris quelques mois pour me sentir plus à l'aise. Et j'ai rencontré des gens incroyables. Nos professeurs étaient gentils et prêts à nous aider. En 2017, une camarade et moi avons concouru pour le Challenge Destination Entreprise. Et nous avons gagné le troisième prix au niveau départemental . A la fin de la même année scolaire, nous nous sommes qualifiées pour le Grand Concours Région Aquitaine. Et nous avons gagné le premier prix. On n'en croyait pas nos yeux !
Cette année, je suis déléguée de classe. Il y a une bonne ambiance. La classe entière a reçu un prix de citoyenneté en 2018, à la préfecture de Tulle.
Ma classe et notre professeur de Français avons décidé de monter une association d'élèves. Le but était de mettre en application la discipline de Gestion/Administration et d'organiser un voyage avant de quitter le lycée.
On a monté cette association. On l'a appelée "PGA Services". PGA Services signifie Pôle de Gestion Administration. " Service "... parce que l' association est censée proposer des services. On a aussi vendu des boites de chocolats, des gâteaux, des bee-wraps pour gagner de l'argent ...et un magazine appelé “Le petit OBS”. On a organisé un vide-dressing d'environ 400 articles, une zumba party etc... Et on a récolté de l'argent pour le voyage. Notre association a aussi été primée par Mr le Préfet à Tulle.
Honnêtement, au début, je n'étais pas très emballée. Mais cette expérience m'a humainement enrichie. Je suis la trésorière. Cela m'a aussi fait découvrir le fonctionnement d'une association. C'était enrichissant parce cela apprend à être confronté aux responsabilités. Cela démontre que nous apprenons plus facilement par la pratique". Camille

Since its inception in 1994, Eurostar has been at the heart of innovation in the travel sector – keeping its head up above water in spite of intense competition from rivals such as Easyjet.
13,000 workers were involved in the construction of the tunnel. 10 of them were killed.
At 31.4 miles long (about 50 km), the Channel Tunnel is the 11th longest usable tunnel in the world. It is also named "Chunnel"or "Shuttle".
It stretches 23.5 miles (about 38 km) undersea, giving it the longest undersea portion of any tunnel in the world.
