Reception
In Reception, children made handprints in paint and compared their hands to their friends' hands. They predicted who would be able to pick up the most beads, based on their hand sizes. They then counted how many beads they were able to pick up and compared their numbers.
Reception
Year 1
Year 1 compared hands and conducted the investigation 3 times, to make sure it was a fair test.
Year 2
Year 2 tested if a different style of 'grab' would make a difference to how many beads you can pick up. They plotted their results in a table.
Year 3
Year 3 thought carefully about how to make this investigation a fair test. They repeated their test a few times and made pictograms from their results.
