The Earthworm

Many years ago on a day like today, there was a group of 5 friends who were exploring the vast barren lands of the Darizan desert for research purposes, but little did they know, there would be something lurking under the sand. The names of the 5 friends were Ajak, Henderson,Winston, Bradford and Storm. They worked for Labunited.INC which was a research company and they sent those 5 men to find some fossils that would help them find out about some of the ancient creatures that used to live around this desert of nothingless. Those 5 men were equipped with little walkie talkies to communicate and were sent three backpacks full with cold water that always stayed cool (An invention by the before mentioned Labunited.Inc) and were sent off to last as much time as they needed to find the fossils. Storm was the leader of the group and Storm received orders that he had to dig between 20ft or 30ft (or anywhere in between) below the surface. They were given 5 drills (for each of the members) that was able to dig into the surface at a rapid pace, but when they started digging they were given information that there was an entrance 25ft under the surface (nearby to where the group was) and that there were the fossils they were looking for.

"BINGO" said Henderson, "Wait Henderson don't get your hopes up, we still got to dig a long way" Bradford added, so they finally started digging after so much chattering. On the first day, they made very good progress, digging 2ft already with those super powerful drills,but they eventually settled for the day and would continue the next day. They went into their tents to go to sleep. All of the group members went into a deep sleep, all but Winston who heard some strange and unnatural noises that came from very far away and they seemed to come from the underground. Winston could not sleep because of the paranormal sounds coming from under the sand. The next day they woke up and went right back to digging the hole, but Storm realized that Winston was missing, so Storm went into his tent, and there he was lying down like a dead zombie, "HEY, WAKE UP" Storm yelled out, "sorry Storm I could not sleep last night, because I heard some weird noises under the sand" Winston responded, "so what is there some spooky monster under the sand or something? come on, don't be silly, the boss is gonna be mad if he realizes that we are just sleeping over here" Storm said

"I guess you are right" Winston said, "Ok now get up, man" Storm said, and so the whole group is now starting to dig this hole again, everything was going smoothly until a random rattlesnake wandered into the digging site and started attacking the group. Storm tried killing it with his drill but the rattlesnake kept dodging the attacks from storm, but then Ajak came from behind and stepped on the rattlesnakes's head, "oh thanks Ajak, we really needed someone to kill that dumb snake" Storm said, "you're welcome" Ajak said, the five man continued digging until Bradford's drill hit something hard, A SKELETON, A REAL SKELETON "AHHHHH OH MY GOD WHO OR WHAT DIGGED THIS PERSON UP HERE" Bradford cried out "what are you crying abo- HOLY JESUS" Storm also cried out, the rest of the group went rushing over to see the skeleton, and they sent a signal to the labs about their discovery, but the lab said to remove the skeleton from the hole and continue digging their hole, so the men did that exact thing they were told to do and removed the skeleton from the hole but they soon discovered that THERE WAS MORE SKELETONS IN THE HOLE and all the skeletons

had different features about them like one was 6'7 and was missing all of his right leg and there was a skeleton that looked like it was a baby and it had his head missing, "why are there so many skeletons" Henderson said, "I don't know about this guys" said Winston worried "There might be something lurking around here", "eh,don't be worried, there is nothing around here" Storm replied. The men continued digging until it was midnight and that was the time that they went to sleep. They also made good progress that day digging 10ft now, each day they made more progress, but even when they went to sleep they could hear the strange noises from outside. Instead of Winston hearing the noises, everyone in the group heard the noises that came from under the sand, they all woke in the early morning, but all of them were tired because of the noises, "see I told you guys about the noises" Winston said, "I guess you were right" Storm replied, but the men were still determined to finish the search so they dug and dug until they could no longer dig because they were low on energy so they used their ladder to get back up and saw that their hole was now 18ft deep

they were proud of their progress, but they still had to rest, so they took a little break up in the tents and then when there energy was replenished they went back down to continue digging on their hole and "HERE WE ARE" Henderson said excitedly, they finally reached the cave on day 3 and all they had to do was go into the cave and retrieve the fossils. They were given a photo of what the fossils looked like, so the men started exploring the cave but soon realized that finding these fossils would be harder than they thought because the cave had two branching paths. The team was divided into two groups of 2 and 3. Storm and Winston went together to the left path while the other 3 went onto the right path. While exploring the cave Henderson heard some weird noises, they sounded like the noises from last night but louder, "hey guys maybe we should go back, because I hear some pretty scary noises down here" Henderson suggested, "no, we must not go back now" Bradford replied, "we already made too much process to just throw it away", the men continued to walk until they heard something moving down the tunnel

something big, so they started to walk faster but the thing just got faster and faster until the men saw themselves running from A GIANT EARTHWORM, and then, their hearts dropped because there was a dead end at the end of the tunnel and then "AHH-" Winston and Storm kept exploring the tunnel to find what they were looking for. THE FOSSILS they found them but as soon as they found them they heard screams from 3 people and at that moment they remembered that Ajak, Henderson and Bradford went together to the other path so they went running back to the start of the cave, but when they got there, they saw that the entrance of the cave was blocked off and when they saw the blocked entrance they heard a screech and then they saw it. A GIANT EARTHWORM WAS COMING AT THEM and then it was like a flash. One second they saw a giant earthworm the next it was pitch black. The lab never received word from this group of 5 friends and co-workers ever again, but luckily, before Storm got "taken" he took a photo with the phone he brought with him to the expedition. It was barely visible to see the thing that attacked them but the lab knows it was a giant earthworm
