The Taj Mahal in Agra is one of India's greatest landmarks and it is India's most recognisable buildings. A famous symbol of the power of love, the Taj Mahal is named after Mumtaz Mahal. She was the famous dead wife of Emperor Shan Jahan.

Beaches of Goa: Long known within India as the go to destination for those seeking sunshine and a great beach. Goa's beautiful coastline overlooking the Arabian Sea has only recently been discovered by tourists.

The earliest Indians probably mainly ate wheat &amp; rice, sorghum, chickpeas and lentils. They often ate fish.

History of India.

About 3500 years ago, people from Central Asia settled in the northern part of India.

When they arrived they met people called the Dravidians.

India is a large country in southern Asia. It has more people than any country in the world except China.

About 3,500 years ago people lived near the Indus River. They had ways of writing counting measuring and weighing things. 3700 years ago, the Indus river people died out. No-one knows why.
