Pancake Tuesday

The pancakes tasted delicious. Jack really enjoyed his breakfast. He was happy he had helped to make the pancakes. Now it was time to help with the washing up!

Jack sat at the table and asked his mum for pancakes. She said yes but told him he would have to help make the pancakes.

Mum flipped the pancakes in the air. Jack thought it was amazing.

Then, Jack had to go to the shed to get some milk from the cow. Jack got a full bucket of fresh milk.

First Jack had to cut some wheat and then bring it to the mill to make flour. Jack got a big bag of flour.

Mum made the pancakes. She mixed all the ingredients together to make a batter. Then she poured the batter on a hot pan and fried the pancakes.

After that, Jack went to the cool cupboard to get some strawberry jam for his pancake.

Mum had all the ingredients she needed to make pancakes; flour, eggs, milk, butter and strawberry jam. Mum had all the cooking utensils she needed to cook pancakes; a bowl, a measuring cup, a wooden spoon and a frying pan.

When the pancake was cooked, Mum spread it with Jack's favourite topping; strawberry jam. Yum, yum.

The rooster made a loud cock-a-doodle-do. Jack woke up. He was hungry and he felt like having a big pancake for breakfast

Next, Jack had to go to the hen house to get an egg.
