Lemon Squares &amp; Awkward Couple Poses For Chris We like to live in the moment, never looking back at our stupid decisions. Don’t pay any mind to the people that don’t like us, don’t worry about the past, worry about what were’ doing now. We’re not alike, though. We may have the same mindset, but our actions are different. And I think that’s a good thing. If there were two of you talking about astrology &amp; using the same three hand gestures, the world would end. If there were two of me talking about MGK &amp; saying ‘dude’ constantly, the world would end. We can go days without talking. But when we see each other, it’s like we were never apart. If there ever came a time we were not together in our hearts, the world would end.

I am a poet that likes to focus on the dark side of human nature, and I write a bit of realistic fiction as well. Since eighth grade, when I had to write something in school, it has become an escape for me. Now rather than feeling like it’s something I’m forced to do, it’s something that I do everyday. Writing has become my way of expressing my feelings and focusing on what I care most about. I am able to put to light real issues and show people that these problems are never going away. When it comes to my writing, I tend to do a lot of facts-based or opinion-based pieces, because I believe both show different ways to prove a point. I will be attending Champlain College in the fall of 2021, where I will study secondary education-English. In my studies, I hope to find a way to inspire others when it comes to learning. I want to help students enjoy reading and learning about literature. I had many inspirations to help me get to where I am today, and I hope to be that person to someone. Other than writing, I love to spend my time reading, listening to music, and watching my favorite TV shows. I have participated in the 2020 Vermont Young Writers Conference, I was a finalist in the 2021 Eugene O’Neill Playwriting Competition, I was also a finalist in the 2021 Sunken Garden Poetry Competition, and I have received a Silver Key award and Honorable Mention in the 2020 Scholastic Arts and Writing Awards.

You always ask the same question: “Why the dollar store? To waste your money?” And I always have the same answer: “Of course.” When I defend Linkin Park &amp; Machine Gun Kelly like my life depends on it, you call me quirky. I hate it. So we laugh about it, listen to more music, drive around in the dark, and ignore the world around us for a few more minutes.

You always know when I’m hurting, because I don’t make sarcastic comments. You’re the one that I go to to help me with anything I need. And you have no idea how much you’ve done for me.

Life Is Too Short For Brooke I'm young, wasting my youth on those bad decisions I should've quit long ago. I’m never going to be able to forget you. I’ve got déjà vu from last summer. I'm back on those bad choices; Out till 2 am, skipping class, &amp; I’m with that guy I quit. I can't brake, I don't ask names, I'm trying to cover up my youth; hiding that traffic cone in my trunk. I would say I promise that I'll grow up next summer, but where’s the fun in that? I want to live in this moment.
