I ran into some middle school kids who had some fun messages for us.

I ran into the principal, her name is Mrs. Hansen. She told me a little bit about the school and what kids like you and me should expect.

I also saw Mr. Moss who is the assistant principal and Ms. Lundell who is the Dean of Students. They are always helpful!

I am really excited to get to know you, I hope we have some classes together! There will be students at our middle school from SEVEN different elementary schools, all in Springville. There are going to be about 550 students in both 6th and 7th gr which makes 1100 students total. That's a lot of people to meet!

Because there will be so many students and this is our first experience changing teachers every subject, the school will be organized into pods so we all have teachers looking after us making sure we're doing OK. Three of our classes will be with the same students and teachers who will really follow up with us and we'll get to know especially well. These three classes will be in a row - so periods 1, 2, 3 or maybe 4, 5, 6 or something like that. These classes will be nearby each other. The other four classes will be spread out into other places around school and introduce us to even more new friends. This makes seven total classes each day.
