Recount text has a generic structure. The generic structure can be seen below:

The language features of recount text are:

1.Orientation&nbsp;&nbsp;: provide setting and introduce the participants&nbsp; 2.Events&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;: tell what happened in sequence&nbsp; 3.Re–orientation&nbsp;: optional closure of events

1. It has specific participant. 2. It uses past tense. 3. It uses action verb. 4. There are circumstance of time and place. 5. It focuses on temporal sequence.

A recount that is retelling an activity that the writer/speaker has been&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; personally involved in.

It can be about: •Unforgettable experience •Impressing experience •Horrible experience •Memorable moment •Terrible experience •Annoying experience •Fun past moment •etc

1.To inform or to entertain&nbsp;the readers or audiences about experiences in the past&nbsp; 2.To share unique or unusual experience 3.To make the readers learn something 4.To retell something unforgettable 5.To give information about an incident 6.Etc

1. ORIENTATION Yesterday, I went to a river for fishing. It was a lovely day and I had nothing to do at home so I wanted to spend my time there.

I woke up early in the morning. Then, I prepared fish bait, fishing rod, etc. I went to the river by bike. At the river, I tried to find a comfortable place to sit. Then, I sat under a big tree at the river bank. After that, I threw my hook and waited for the fish eating my bait. After I waited for around 20 minutes, I got a small fish. Next, I tried it again and I got a big fish. I was there around 2 hours and I got three more big fish. I thought it was enough for me on that day so I packed all the stuff. Then, I went home to cook my fish with my mom.
