Jake quickly stops and turns around and runs with the crow. Faster than lightning, he bolts down the cornfield to get away from the scarecrow. The scarecrow is dripping sweat and dashing so fast, almost catching the boy.&nbsp;

The crow comfortably says, “Let’s get out of here shall we?” The crow is screeching with joy and Jake turns the corner to see his dad standing there with his arms out. Jake drops the ball and dashes over to his dad and gives him a big hug! He feels the weight of an elephant drop off his shoulders and he was relieved. He grabs the ball and sprints back onto the field and starts playing soccer again until the sun goes down. This day was as deadly as fighting a lion face to face. 

Jake got lost and is struggling while searching desperately for any way to get out by himself. He is trying so hard to find somebody to save him. The boy is starting to feel that he is going to die.

The Crow sits overhead flapping his wings with all his might trying to make a noise.&nbsp; Jake hears a noise coming from above him “Caw Caw Caw,” the crow screeches.

As Jake is running, he slammed into a scarecrow and falls to the ground with a “bang!”&nbsp; He hears a voice talking to him. “Whoa, what are you doing out here?” the scarecrow asks.

While running to the right, he runs into a dead end. He looks at his feet and thinks of what to do. Jake is as tired as someone who has just finished a marathon. The corn stocks were taunting him. Jake lets his rage out by screaming, “I need to go home!” as he puts his head down and he considers what to do next.

On a nice sunny day in Wisconsin, a boy named Jake and his father are playing ball at the park. The boy hit the soccer ball way too far and it gets lost in the cornfield.&nbsp; The boy says, “I’ll go get it!” It is the boy’s 9th birthday and he barely convinced his dad that he can find the ball by himself. Jake enters the cornfield as confident as a lion creeping up on his prey. As Jake enters the cornfield all begins to go downhill...

Jake says to the crow,&nbsp; “What are you doing here?” The crow responds with,&nbsp; “You need to trust me to get out of this place. The scarecrow is evil!”&nbsp; He gets a gut feeling and ditches the scarecrow.

Jake is running while turning corners and jumping over puddles, gaining more and more trust until he yells,&nbsp; “Where are we going?” The scarecrow replies by saying,&nbsp; “You will see once we get there.” Jake started getting nervous and having second thoughts. The boy is almost as scared as a puppy when it first sees his owners. After a while he sees a crow.

Jake is starting to doubt himself, so much so that he is drenched in tears. The next minute, he starts screaming, “DAD, DAD, HELP!” No response is given, so he knows he is by himself on this one. He could feel the stress, as if someone was sitting on his shoulders, and he couldn’t take it. He grabs himself and gives himself a big hug, then gets back to work.&nbsp;

Jake stands up and says with fear in his eyes &nbsp;“I can’t find my way out, can you help me?” The scarecrow tells Jake that he knows the way out. So he starts following the scarecrow.&nbsp; “The scarecrow is an angel,” I thought to myself, not realizing the scarecrow didn’t have good intentions.

Jake got what he came for so he starts to look for a way out.&nbsp; Jake questions himself, “Which way should I go?” He decides to choose right.&nbsp;
