Barn owls have heart shaped faces. They have a white face. That makes it easier to tell the difference between other owls. They usually live near farms and open spaces. They have longer wings than any other owl. They are the best for flying over countries where there are a few trees here and there. They also have a thin, elongated beak, smaller eyes. Their wings are rounded. They hunt in open fields.

Snowy Owls have thicker feathers than any other owl and that helps with the weather where they live. They live any where that is cold because they're of course snowy owls you won't find a snow owl where you live. It lives in Northern Tundra, where it blends in with it surroundings. It's long warm coat of feathers reaches all the way down to its toes! Even it's bill is covered in snowy white feathers. Without snowy owls, there would be so many of lemmings, that it would destroy so many plants of the north country where they live! That is terrible to think about! The number of snowy owls also increases because the lemmings eat then they protect the babies then the babies grow up then they get eaten just like their parents. Their are lots of lemmings so then the snowy owls can eat. The number of lemmings also increases then helps the snowy owls grow and grow. Without lemmings the snowy owls would die from starvation. The lemmings increase in numbers for four years!
