Kangaroos are big marsupials, who are part of the Macropodidae family and are indigenous to Australia.
In 2011, there were about 34.3 million kangaroos living within the commercial harvest area of Australia.




Wallabies, wallaroos & kangaroos are groups of species of the kangaroo, wallabies being the smallest in size and kangaroos the biggest.

Kangaroos have large, powerful legs & large feet for leaping, a long muscular tail and a small head.


Female kangaroos have a pouch on their belly, where babies are until they are old enough to walk on their own.
