I found the green colored putty Anita suggested at Dollar General. It's pretty hard, so my mom and I found that we had to knead it for awhile to make it more malleable as well as wrap it around the straw to make it work for our characters.

You can also find great shares using some of these green screen hashtags to search on your favorite social media platforms like: Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

My mom was able to find a couple of old long silk/polyester style gloves at a local antic store for about $4 a pair. I bought some green dye and soaked them for a LONG time. Excited to see how they work in hiding arms in #greenscreenvideos 

You can also easily pinch and pull different layers to make the photo or video smaller or bigger. It’s NOT a free app, but it was worth the money for me! I only have it on a couple of my iPads as they usually only create their movies one or two groups at a time.

Although you can do green screen with iMovie, Photo Booth, and other tools, I find that the DoInk App is the EASIEST for my students! It’s simple design allows for 3 layers to be added.

Green poster board, folders, or trifold posters also make good backgrounds for small green screen projects. Use green straws to hold up figures to make them move in the movie. (HINT: If you get a drink at Starbucks, they have very long green straws that work great! Ask your barista for a couple extra. I've heard a rumor that the company has a goal to do away with plastic straws in their stores by 2020.)

I used one of my 40% off coupons from Michael's to snag this large trifold green treasure for this year.

There are floor mats that allow for various skills to be integrated into the coding lessons...like alphabet recognition...find the letter that starts with the same sound as ____, coordinate points on a grid, and many more!

Need some ideas of the green paint color? Check this instagram post below for suggestions. However, I just got an apple green color from a Hobby Lobby sale on acrylic paints and plan to use this to paint some clean pizza boxes.

This impromptu get together allowed me to learn SO MUCH more about the Doink App of Animate from Tricia Fuglestad. Her tech integration with art ideas and shares are #AMAZING and she was so kind to show us ways to use animate!

This short film was created in less than 10 minutes with her guidance in animate. Wondering how much more my students will be able to do with this tool!

     There were three different playground areas that provided conference participants the opportunity to experiment with different interactive technologies at #ISTE18 in Chicago, IL this summer.

I sat in on a teacher team presentation about the ways their schools in Hawaii used these tech tools to help improve sequential recall and literacy with their students. They shared some "hacks" for making floor mats to use with the Bee-Bots...like clear vinyl from the fabric section of Hobby Lobby.

I've been using green screen videos with my students for about 4 years now, but I'm determined to step up my game this year. Creating a Green Screen area in my room is one of my goals with the purpose of allowing kids to create videos to share more about what they are learning.

Pizza Boxes painted green make a perfect small studio for students to create retelling of stories or share math task scenarios in front of. 

You can program the bots to drive around a lego inspired town.

Bee-Bots are fun tools to help students learn more about coding. I have a couple of teacher friends at school that used them with their students this year and I am intrigued!

I ❤️Anita's suggestion of using green straws and putty to make MiniLegoCharacters become the puppets for a greenscreen video.

Use green gloves to keep your hands from entering into the project. The presenter said she was able to purchase them from the Dollar Tree Store. #greenscreengoal
