What do Christians believe?
Christians believes that there is only one god, which they call either Yahweh or Jehovah as there is no direct translation of God's name from ancient Hebrew. Christians see Jesus as the prophet of god who was sent to mankind to save them from death and sin.
Jesus Christ taught that he was Son of God, that he was sent here by the Lord to save them all from evil that is rife at the time. Jesus said that he had come to fulfil God's law rather than teach it. Jesus preached love, tolerance, and forgiveness and that making these actions the epicentre of your world will grant you eternal life. His teachings– briefly summarized–is to love God, the love of God, and love of one's neighbour. To forgive others with whatever they have done to you, to help the needed, and to love each other.
Jesus after life
Jesus raising dead
He had performed miracles of healing the sick, like when he cured the blind man when he was travelling to jerusalem; walking on water, when he and his apostles went fishing; and raising the dead, when revived Lazarus of Bethany after his initial terminal death. He also claimed that there was life after death.
Christians also believe in the Holy Trinity, which is not that there are three gods, but rather, God has three separate parts which are namely god, the father; the son; and the holy spirit. Christians don’t believe in three gods, it’s just that depending on the division of Christianity, they may believe that God himself had taken human form as Jesus Christ and is his incarnation on Earth, and that God is present today through the work of the Holy Spirit and evident in the actions of believers; or that Jesus was merely a prophet/ messenger who only came to deliver his good news and is not God himself, both of which are the beliefs of two of the major divisions or Christianity. These days, the word saint is most commonly used to refer to a Christian who has lived a particularly good and holy life on earth, and with whom miracles are claimed to have been associated after their death.
Jesus was believed that he would bring an end to roman rule, as per his teachings where he is claimed to be the king of Jews and that they would rebel against the Roman Empire. But the Romans would have none of that and Jesus was arrested and sentenced to death because the romans believed that he was a parasite to the empire and the imperial family for sharing his beliefs, consequently having him arrested nailed to a wooden cross. A fantastic method of death with a fancy name called crucifixion. Three days after his death, Jesus’s tomb was found empty, and the giant boulder blocking it's entrance–which would've been impossible to move without a number of people pushing it at once–had been moved to the side, all in a single night. Many people claimed to have seen visions of Jesus risen from dead, such as Peter–one of his beloved disciples.
