In summary earthquakes occur when the ground shakes. There are some that are large earthquakes that demolish cities (houses and shops). Nothing is harmed by small earthquakes. They can be so little that you don't even notice them. Earthquakes may be devastating and deadly (almost 750 000 people have perished as a result of earthquakes!) Quakes, tremors, and temblors are all terms used to describe earthquakes.&nbsp;

their are some small earthquakes which don't harm anything rather then larger earthquakes are much more harmful and they demolish shops, houses and cities and sometimes harm people (nearly 750 000 people died due to earthquakes!)
