Erasmus+ Traineeships in the Environmental Education Center of Vamos

The Environmental Education Center of Vamos is located in southern Greece, in the western part of the island of Crete, in the village Kefalas.

Erasmus Traineeships: Daniela Sannino

The Pedagogical Team of the Environmental Education Center of Vamos had the opportunity to welcome to our Center Daniela Sannino, sent from the Department of Chemistry and Pharmacy of the University of Sassari, Sardinia, Italy. Daniela has a Bachelor Degree in Natural Science and a Master's Degree in Land and Environmental Management, Marine Ecology, Zoology and the management of marine ecosystems.
Although we did not have the opportunity of live lessons with kids because of the COVID pandemic, we were able, during her three-months traineeship (from 1st of September till 9th of December), to design and prepare together a new Environmental Education program about the Mediterranean Sea and the Marine Ecosystems, using a lot of digital tools and applications.

We only have publicized a few pieces of this material. We have a lot more to be presented later, as our contribution the launch of the UN's Ocean Decade (2021-2030).
Daniela taught us a lot of new things about the Sea and Marine Life and Ecosystems. We were really glad and lucky to have the opportunity to get to know her, learn from her and work together.
We hope to be able to continue our cooperation with Daniela!

Πρακτικές Erasmus+: Ντανιέλα Σαννίνο

Η Παιδαγωγική Ομάδα του Κέντρου Περιβαλλοντικής Εκπαίδευσης Βάμου είχε την ευκαιρία να καλωσορίσει στο Κέντρο μας τη Ντανιέλα Σαννίνο, που στάλθηκε από το Τμήμα Χημείας και Φαρμακευτικής του Πανεπιστημίου του Σάσσαρι της Σαρδηνίας στην Ιταλία. Η Ντανιέλα έχει πτυχίο στις Φυσικές Επιστήμες και Μεταπτυχιακές Σπουδές στη Διαχείριση Γης και Περιβάλλοντος, τη Θαλάσσια Οικολογία, Ζωολογία και τη διαχείριση θαλάσσιων οικοσυστημάτων.
Παρότι δεν είχαμε την ευκαιρία δια ζώσης μαθημάτων με παιδιά εξαιτίας της πανδημίας COVID 19, καταφέραμε στη διάρκεια των τριών μηνών της πρακτικής της Ντανιέλας (από την 1η Σεπτεμβρίου έως τις 9 Δεκεμβρίου 2020), να σχεδιάσουμε και να δημιουργήσουμε μαζί ένα νέο πρόγραμμα Περιβαλλοντικής Εκπαίδευσης για τη Μεσόγειο Θάλασσα και τα Θαλάσσια Οικοσυστήματα, αξιοποιώντας πολλά ψηφιακά εργαλεία και εφαρμογές.
