Diet
Sloths munch on leaves, twigs and bugs. Because the animals don't have incisors, they trim down leaves by smacking their firm lips together. A low metabolic rate means sloths can survive on relatively little food; it takes days for them to process what other animals can digest in a matter of hours.
Rainforest birds
The Amazon Rainforest is where some 3,800 species are found, 1,300 of which are birds species. When one thinks of the typical rainforest bird, it is usually the iconic Toucan, with its colorful bill and unique look. However, Macaws, Parrots, Hummingbirds, Harpy Eagles and many other popular birds live there as well.
Birds of the tropical rain forest are known for their bright color, such as parrots, macaws and toucans. They eat a variety of foods, including seeds, plants and even small animals.
Snakes tend to eat rats, birds and their eggs, mice, chipmunks, frogs, gophers, and other small rodents. Some species will even consume insects or earthworms. Very large snakes will even eat deer, pigs, monkeys and other large prey.

The largest Bird of the Amazon Rainforest is King Vulture (Sarcoramphus papa). Reaching length ranges from 67 to 81 cm (26–32 in) and its wingspan is 1.2 to 2 m (4–7 ft). Its weight ranges from 2.7 to 4.5 kg (6–10 lb).
