About the project
The project will develop collaborative activities concerning the sustainability of our planet, that is, taking into account the 17 Sustainable Development Goals according the United Nations Organisation.
Our students will improve their knowledge about these goals by means of ads, posters, infographies and games related to them. At the same time, they will be able to push environmental initiatives at school level.
Some activities will also focus on global warming and greenhouse gases, to make students aware of the dangers and challenges that they impose to the future of our planet.
AIMS
The main aims of this project will be:
- to Improve the knowledge of the challenges for the future in our planet
- to understand the global effects of our behaviour concerning sustainability.
- to promote environmental initiatives at school level, that can be open to our communities.
- to use ICT tools efficiently to improve communication and to disseminate information.
- to improve English language skills as a tool for global communication.
- to attain new relationships with European schools in order to plan further joint projects and exchanges, to foster our schools' internationalisation plans.
WORK PROCESS
Main activities:
WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT ABOUT YOUR PLANET? (Oct) Students learn about the Goals. They describe their preferred goals with voki app.
OUR SUSTAINABLE GOAL (Oct-Nov) National teams (NT) prepare collaborative MindMaps. A Padlet is created for each Goal. International Teams (IT) will thus be created.
PROMOTING CAMPAIGNS FOR SUSTAINABILITY AT SCHOOL (Nov) NT prepare posters about campaigns concerning sustainability. All will be shared to partner schools.
POSTERS TO SHARE OUR GOALS (Jan-Feb) IT create collaboratively posters about Sustainable Goals.
OUR LOGO (Feb) –Each IT’ members will agree on their preferred logo. All team logos will appear in the project main page. Finally, they vote for the best team logo.
GAMES ABOUT SUSTAINABLE GOALS (March): NT create games, to be played by International partners.
LET’S KNOW ABOUT GREENHOUSE GASES (April): Each school shares and comments presentations or classes.
Evaluation and dissemination actions. (ending in May)
EXPECTED RESULTS
We expect to obtain useful materials to improve learning: information posters, calls for action (posters and leaflets).
All materials will be collected in the project Twinspace, as this will be the main tool for collaborative work.
We will create, as well, an open website to be used as a respository of materials to improve our learning on sustainability and to push for environmental action.
The exhibition of our work to our school communities is the main product of our project.
