The Okapis markings seem very bold to us, which give the Okapi great camouflage when hiding in the partial sunlight that filters through the Dense rain-forest's, where Okapis live!The Okapis skin color is a dark brown velvety like fur color! The okapis stripes are white and are horizontal on the rear and the legs of the Okapi!. Male Okapis have two skin covered horns that are called, ( Cossicones) on the forehead!Okapis have a long flexible back,their back is (12 - 14 inches) long and ( 30 - 36 cm) long! Okapis have pretty rarely large ears!

The Okapi eats a reddish clay type food that has some essential salt and minerals! The Okapi also eats Leaves,Soft twigs,Shoots,Plants and fruits!The Okapi eats grass and some special type of fungi! The Okapi is not a very social animal. Okapis don't seek Companionship. But Okapis sometimes feed in a group for not a very long time!
