FUN FACT
It took just as long to build from Port Moody to Craigellachie as it did to build from Toronto to Craigellachie
Craigellachie was the spot where the last spike was nailed into the CPR or the Canadian Pacific Railway. When we were there we saw 2 trains go by, luckily, and we even did some filming for our video project.
ROGERS PASS
FUN FACT
Rogers Pass wasn’t in the original plan of the construction of the CPR
There was an actual museum at Rogers Pass where we learned all about it’s history and why it was used. Besides all of the displays in the museum, we also watched a movie called “The Snow War” and my friend, Izzy, and I interviewed one of the Park’s Canada members to further our learning.
FUN FACT
Wolves are a keystone species and ecosystems would fail if wolves didn’t exist
WOLF CENTRE
The Norther Lights WIldlife Wolf Centre was one of my favorite stops on the trip. We learned so much about wolves, keystone species, and ecosystems there. The best part was probably when our whole class was howling and then all of the wolves started howling with us!
FUN FACT
LAKE LOUISE
Lake Louise is one of the most photographed lakes in the world
Out of most of the beautiful places we went on our trip, Lake Louise was definitely up there on the list. This wasn’t so much one of our stops where we learned a ton, so me and a few friends took amazing photos of the torquoise lake and mountains surrounding it.
