The Star Wand

Once there was a 12 year old girl named Paige. Paige lived in a small neighborhood called,”Vienna,”. She had 3 siblings that were crazy and when I say crazy I mean crazy. One was named Wes who was 7, one was named Laila who was 8 , and one was named Brady who was 11. She also had a mom, dad, and a dog named Finley. All of the kids went to a school named,”Wolftrap Elementary School.” Life was normal.

One day Paige got called down to the office to get picked up by her mom. Paige has no idea why, but she packs her stuff up anyway and walks down to the office. When she gets there she sees her mom and comes her way, but before she can say a word her mom takes her and runs outside to the car. When they get to the car her mom takes a breath and tells her why she got pulled out of school. “Paige the reason why I pulled you out of school is because something terrible has happened.” For a split second Paige’s mind was completely blank and then she had a million questions going through her head like; Why? What has gone wrong? Are we going to die?
Her mom said that when she was a baby there was a witch who went to there house for dinner. When she asked if we want to live with her and we said no she freaked out and put a curse on our family. The curse is that at midnight they were all going to die one by one and you would be the first one. The only way to break the curse is to go to the Lincoln Memorial find the drawer the is in his hand and get the star wand. You have to promise me as soon as you get it in your hands to smash it into a million little pieces.

Ahhh!

They both jumped into the car, but before her mom even starts the car Paige screams,”No, I don’t want to go!” She jumps out of the car,runs to the curb to sit down,and starts to cry. She all of a sudden she hears a small voice behind her. She turns around and sees a mouse talking to her. She jumps in fear and screams,”Ahhhh.”

The mouse says that it is okay and jumps onto her hand. The mouse starts to speak,”Paige, I know that you are scared to go and it is totally fine. I am here to say that it will be okay and if you choose to not go then you have to face the consequences.” Paige thanks the mouse and the mouse runs into the bushes and disappears.

When they got to their house her mom put the dog in the car and they started to drive to the entrance of Washington D.C. Her mom dropped them of and 7:00 p.m and said goodbye. She only had 5 hours before she could find the wand so, she set off. When she got to the bottom of the stairs she all of a sudden saw something coming her way. It was a kids metal lunch box. She ducked, but it wasn’t coming at her head it was coming at her knee! Then, it hit right where her knee cap was. It hurt so bad she cried and she never cries for physical pain. My dog was whining because he hates it when I cry.When she sat down for a couple of minutes she thought about how she is going to get up the stairs. Then, she screamed,”Could things get any worse?”
