John’s GiftLoading...
John Patrick is a lonely boy in Ohio. He makes good grades in school, has a private tutor on Sundays, and plays video games every chance he gets. He goes to riverside high and his only friend is his dog Charlie. John doesn’t mind that the only time he ever speaks at school is to respond to teachers. John’s only social time is at home with his family and online with his virtual friends. He rarely sees his dad accept for dinner, when his dad tells him that his grades are nice but he needs to work harder. John loves his sister, Emma, even though they are very different, she is actually social and often has friends over.

John burst with excitement as he moseyed down the hallway and began on his way home from school, he couldn’t wait to play a new video game that came out. It was a rainy day and he used the little river flowing by his feet as entertainment, he began to walk down his steep concrete driveway he slipped and began to roll, he could feel the air rushing past him and his speed picking up. He felt himself nearing a cliff on the side of the yard and tried to flatten out but was just too late. The ground disappeared from under him and his gut cringed for the 2 story drop. John felt the movement around himself come to a stop, although he didn’t feel any pain.

It took John a couple seconds to realize that he way floating, it was like standing up on a boat, he had to keep his balance. John focused on the ledge he fell from and imagined getting closer to it, before he knew it he was where he had wished. Suddenly, John had forgotten about that new video game.
John didn’t play videos games anymore. Everyday since then he spent in the woods getting better and having fun, John had seen a lot of movies and therefore decided that it was obvious not to tell anyone about what he could do. His family was surprised by the sudden change of interests but didn’t really care.
