first reason that causes desertification is Urbanization land development, because people go through and kill the plant’s life, and change the areas to cities, there become less place for plants, through scientific research that carbon dioxide can remove the toxins (air pollution) from the air we breathe, and plants could refresh toxins too, but as plants are become less and less, the soil turns really hard, and it will become desert soon as there’s no more plants left. Base on the research, Asia and United states have the most city population, they have about 10 million or more cities. More than half of the world's population (53.5 per cent) now lives in urban areas, up from 49 per cent in 2005 and 43 percent in 1990. And The world's urban population in 1950 of just 746 million has increased to 3.9 billion in the decades since. The second reason is overgrazing, there are too many animals are overgrazing in certain spots. Animals will eat plants, it’s difficult to let plants grow back, without plants, the soil will just turn to be hard and it will just cause desertification just like urbanization land development. Through the researches, in 2013, Australia, there’s 1455 kangaroos’ due to overgrazing.
Finally, the third reason is drought, drought is kind of a natural disaster, and it’s the most important reason for desertification, drought will affect less water, and cause the plants die, also drought can affect large areas and may have serious environmental, social and economic impacts, but it also affects people’s life. Australia “Millennium” drought began in 1995 and continued country-wide until late 2009. Drought in Spain’s northeastern region of Catalonia grew so severe in 2008 that Barcelona began importing water by ship from France. About 70 percent of Spain’s water goes to farmlands, much of which is wasted in irrigation system and thirsty crops, that are not so good for dry lands. Also, now in China, in the northern Shanxi province, nearly 3 million people don't have enough water. About one-third of the province's wheat crop has been hit by the drought and more than 60 percent of its soil lacks water……”

as I open my door I smell grass, it’s amazingly perfect, and the sun, it feels hot, but warm, “this is amazing!!” I lie on the ground, listening to birds singing, feeling the harsh soil, smelling the aroma of the grass, feeling the warm sun.
I’am watching the inexistent sky from my textbook, the sky in the history textbook is so lovely, clear enough, that I can feel it, see it, and also I can even smell it, but, the indescribable sky only lives inside my heart, I have never seen it before. Meanwhile, I hear a “knock knock”, it’s the doorbell whose making the noises. We haven’t had any guests for almost 5 years, who will it be? With curious, I open the door, they are two strangers standing outside, one with glasses, and white scientist’s overall, and another one dress like a police officer.
“Hi, miss,” one of them says politely.
“Good afternoon,” I also respond politely, the “police officer” sees my textbook: “Woof, I didn’t see this kind of book for 20 years, hahaha….”
“sorry to cut you, but…. Do you guys have any problem? If not, I think I need to keep studying my geology, so yeh I’m a student…..”I interrupt him with embarrassment.
“Oh, yeah, I almost forgot, ” he turns around and takes a file of something seems to be really important. But he looks like he don’t want to give it to me, he looks around and then says quietly: “Can we talk in the house, because this is kind of a top secret.”
