Adult definition: Critical and Reflective Thinking encompasses a set of abilities that students use to examine their own thinking and that of others. This involves making judgments based on reasoning, where students consider options, analyze options using specific criteria, and draw conclusions.

Student definition: A critical thinker will ask questions. They will think about things carefully and look at the reasons for them as well as other possible answers. Critical thinking includes not only problem solving, but being able to think independently, form your own opinions and trust your own thinking without peer pressure, even when asked to do things you don’t want to do.

If you are implementing the program twice per week, that will allow you to complete the 20 statements within 10 weeks and allow for the program to be implemented all the way through three times per school year. Therefore, three books on video have been provided. One per season - Fall, Winter and Spring. If you are implementing the program less, then it is your choice of which books you wish to use.
