Praying Mantis

Did you know that praying mantises live on every continent but they don´t live in Antarctica? They live in warm places.

Praying mantises use their antenna to feel and smell. They have four wings. They have five eyes There are 2,000 different types of mantises. They even eat frogs.

Do you know an insect that has a triangle shaped head? It is a praying mantis. Did you know that praying mantises are six inches long? Praying mantises can be green, brown, pink, white, and yellow.

Praying mantises sit still and wait for insects. They hold their prey with their pincers with spines on their front legs. Mantises eat insects and spiders.
