Hypothesis
Before beginning this experiment we predicted that the insulated cup will retain more heat and the water in this cup will stay hot for a longer period of time.

Method
1. Fill Kettle with water and boil
2. Label plastic cups 1&2
3. Using the scissors provided, cut up pieces of cotton wool and bubble wrap and wrap them around plastic cup one, and secure them with sellotape
4. Pour the same amount of water into one insulated plastic cup and one non-insulated plastic cup.
5. Record the initial temperature by reading the thermometer.
6. Over the next 6 minutes record the temperature of the water in each cup and observe the results.
7. Once the 6 minutes are up, compare the different temperatures.
