GREENHOUSE GASES
Loading...
Climate Change is mostly caused by Greenhouse Gases
trapping the heat from the sun, causing the earth's temperature to rise. If we do not act soon, future generations will suffer the consequences.

Greenhouse Gases are released into the air by burning fossil fuels.

What is Climate Change?
The world is already 1.5 degrees hotter. It may not seem like much but if it goes above 2.0 degrees we will see serious changes in the weather.
This is a diagram about Greenhouse Gasses

Renewable and Non-Renewable Sources
Renewable Energies:
Wind
Solar
Tidal
Geothermal
Biomass
Non-renewable Energies:
Oil
Gas
Coal
Turf
Why non-renewable energy is bad
Non-renewable energy releases bad CO2 into the air. The more CO2 in the air, the hotter the Earth gets!!!
What is the national grid?
The national grid is the electricity grid that runs across the country through electricity wires. It powers all of the houses, businesses and schools in Ireland

Advantages of renewable energy
KER-CHING!
There are many advantages to having green energy.
Ellipse;
Your energy is green and healthy.
Solar-thermal panels can heat your water using sunlight rather than burning nasty fossil fuels.
Did you know you could possibly get money from having solar panels?
Guess what!?
If you pay for solar panels now, in time, they might be producing so much solar energy that you mightn't want to use all of it! So, you could sell your energy to the national grid, and get money!!!
Wind turbines come in many sizes, so if you could afford a small one, it would still generate some nice wind energy!
GET MONEY!!!
Tips for Saving Energy
Let the natural light in to reduce heating
LED light bulbs use less energy.
Switch off before you head off
Don't use the heating if you don't need it
Try to use showers , not baths
Don't fill the kettle to the top
Close doors to also keep in the heat
If you are getting a new house you can get a grant for solar panels
