Welcome to the Aspire Academy Trust.
Aspire is a vibrant, highly successful and widely recognised Trust determined to raise standards of educational achievement to the very highest levels. We don’t just aim for our children to achieve what is average or expected, but for them to excel both academically and in character.
We live in a global economy that requires our children to be prepared to think both critically and creatively, solve complex problems, and to communicate well. Mastery of the basics: reading, writing, maths and technology is our core purpose, and this sits firmly alongside ensuring our children have well-developed social and emotional skills. Aspire academies have a strong emphasis on the sport, arts and social, moral, spiritual and cultural education.
All our 29 schools and academies are an integral part of their local communities and have a real sense of identity. We value the contribution each of our communities makes and the distinctive opportunities and diversity it offers to the Trust. By working in true partnership, we offer exceptional learning experiences to all our children, so they benefit from the strength that being part of the extended Aspire family brings. If you want to learn more about us, then please visit our website at www.aspireacademytrust.org

I look forward to hopefully welcoming you to the Aspire family!

Head of School Welcome
Welcome to St Uny Church of England Academy! Our vision is to be a positive, loving school where children are equipped to live well with Jesus Christ and with others.

As a Church of England Academy we whole-heartedly embrace the Church's vision for education; educating for wisdom, hope, community and dignity. Here at St Uny, through careful planning and individual attention, we enable every child to develop academically, socially, morally and spiritually.

If you would like to find out more about our school, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Vision & Values
All that we do at St Uny is underpinned by our Christian vision and values.

The Bible verse "Let your light shine before others", Matthew 5:16 inspires our holistic approach to education, where we help every pupil to find, develop and show their varied skills and talents, for the benefit of themselves and others.

The school community worked together to select our three whole-school Christian values.
They are:
Forgiveness, Friendship and Respect
Each value has an accompanying Bible story to help us to consider the message of each value.

The parents have chosen:
Forgiveness – Jonah and the Whale (The Book of Jonah)
The pupils have chosen:
Friendship – The Parable of the Lost Sheep (Luke 15)
The staff have chosen:
Respect – Noah’s Ark (Genesis 5)

Early Years Curriculum
At St Uny CE Academy we believe that our Early Years Foundation Stage is crucial to developing firm foundations to be built upon throughout our school journey and beyond. It is our intent that the children who enter our EYFS develop physically, verbally, emotionally, creatively, intellectually and spiritually whilst embedding a positive attitude to school and learning in order for each child to achieve their full potential. We set high expectations throughout all areas of school life and beyond. We believe that all children deserve to be valued as an individual and we are passionate in supporting all children to achieve their full, unique potential. Our Reception class follow the EYFS curriculum, which has seven main areas of learning.
