Our city is called Caravaca de la Cruz and it is situated in the north-west of the region. This city is an interior city, it hasn´t got any beach but you can go to marvellous beaches&nbsp; in only one hour from our city. This city is well known by Caballos de Vino festival and Moors and Crhistians parades, both take place every year in the first week of May.

Other significant monumental places are: The Holy Family Cathedral in Barcelona, The Royal Palace in Madrid, The Mosque of Cordoba, The Royal castle and The Giralda in Sevilla, The Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela or the Cathedral of Leon, The Alhambra, in Granada and The Royal theater in Merida among many others.

The famous Saint Cross is a LIGNUN CRUCIS, it means a piece of wood from the cross in which Jesus Christ died. It is preserved in a beautiful reliquary with two horizontal arms. In February &nbsp;nineteen ninety eight, the pope Juan Pablo II granted a perpetual Jubilee Year for Caravaca every seven years and the privilege of Holy City, being the fith city in the world together with Jerusalem, Santiago de Compostela, Rome and Santo Toribio de Liébana. The Jubilee Year will be in 2024. That is the reason why a lot of pilgrims come our city to adore the Holly Cross.

Because of its climate, its beaches, its costumes, its monuments, its gastronomy and its landscapes Spain has become the third country in the world which receives most tourists in a year, only after USA and France, according to the World Tourism Organization.

The main destinations in our country are Catalonia followed by The Canary Islands, Balearic Islands and Andalucia. Being Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla and Palma de Mallorca the most visited cities by the tourists.

But we can not forget the GASTRONOMIC TOURISM, which is the best of Spain for a lot of people due to the food quality and service which are really excellent. The most famous Spanish dishes are paella (the most famous one), the tapas which are unique in the world, the delicious ham and the catalonian cream (a famous dessert).

In 2019, before the pandemic year, Spain was visited by about eighty four million of tourists from different countries of Europe such as England, France and Germany. It was a historical record of visitors. As my classmate has already told you Spain is the third country most frecuently visited in the world, only after France and USA. Our country offers many different types of tourism: Beach tourism, cultural tourism, sport tourism with the snow,&nbsp;gastronomic tourism and the most famous one the BEACH TOURISM in Summer which attracts millions of tourisms enjoying our wonderful beaches. The weather is Spain is normally warm in Summer and the temperatures varies between&nbsp;twenty and forty degrees and many regions have more than three hundreds days with sunlight in the year. The most famous beaches are situated in the Catalonia, Valencia, Murcia and Andalucia coasts being the most well known beaches from Benidorm and Marbella. We will highlight two destinations where the temperatures are warm and soft during the whole year, which are: Balearic Islands (Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza) and The Canary Islands.

The water of this special part of the region &nbsp;is warm, calm and shallow. Actually, the Mar Menor offers beautiful places to visit with a wide range of gatronomic and leissure offerings. Paying special attention to the&nbsp; posibility to practice nautical sports such as sailing or sport diving. It is one hundred and twelve kilometres from our city.

Spain is situated in the South-west of Europe and it is an active member of the European Union. It´s the fourth largest country in Europe after Russia, Ucrania and France. The capital city is Madrid and it is a country governed by a parliamentary Monarchy under a democraticform of government.

In this region you can find the well known called Beach tourism, due to the weather and its beaches, it is populary called: SUN AND BEACH TOURISM. The Murcia coastline is named: The Warm Coast and it has got a length of one hundred and seventy kilometres in where the tourist can find beautiful white sandy beaches with small marvellous beaches and cliffs.There is a very typical tongue of land which separates the sea from the fresh wáter called La Manga.

Our region is Murcia. It is situated in the south-east of Spain and a part of it is bathed by the Mediterranean Sea. Its capital city is Murcia being Cartagena, Lorca and Caravaca de la Cruz very important cities in this region.

Murcia is one of the largest producers of fruits, vegetables and flowers wihout forgetting the touristic sector which is really important too.

A great number of tourists come to Spain to celebrate festivals such as: San Fermin in Pamplona and Las Fallas in Valencia.

Caravaca de la Cruz because it is one of the most important cities in our region in terms of tourism. It is situated in the north east of Murcia´s region.

I am going to talk about other types of tourism in our country and it is the cutural and monumental tourism. This type of tourists is also very important in Spain so that our country has got a huge cultural and historical richness. It is the third world named by the Unesco as a World Heritage Site. Here, in our country, you can visit different monuments, churches, museums and archaeological remains. It is advisable to visit places such as The Altamira caves in the north of Spain, Guggenheim museum in Bilbao or the Prado museum in Madrid which represent an incredible experience for learning about our country.

Besides these religious events, there are Moors and Christians parades and above all an unique celebration in th world called: The Wine Horses. They are&nbsp; purebred horses covered with extraordinay handmade blanquets defined them as really Works of art. These Festivities have been declared International tourism interest and The Wine horses have been declared International cultural heritage by the UNESCO.

Our city is nationally and internationally well known in terms of RELIGIOUS TOURISM, due to its festivities which are celebrated from the first of May until the fifth of the same month in honour of the Saint Cross, remembering the miracle that took place in this city many centuries ago.

Our region is called Murcia and it is situated in the South-West of Spain, it has only one province and the capital city is called Murcia too. It is an important and touristic site so that tourists can find here beautiful beaches, lovely and different landscapes, important monuments and an incredible gastronomy.
