Why stay in the Southern Colonies?

Maryland was founded for Catholics to have a safe place to worship.

All other Colonies were founded for economic reasons and are very tolerant, unlike the New England Colonies

What are the features of the Southern Colonies?

We have nice fertile soil, long growing seasons, and warm weather. You should not go to the New England where the soil is rocky and weather can be freezing.

We also have access to many different and efficient trade routes

How can I earn money?

We make money growing tobacco, a renewable resource unlike the Middle and New England Colonies, who fish and whale.

We also have indigo, wich we sell so people can make blue clothing and we have a bunch of other different crops.

Maryland was founded in 1633 by Lord Baltimore. Virginia was founded in 1607 by John Smith at Jamestown. North Carolina was founded in 1653 by Virginian Colonists. South Carolina was founded in 1663 by English Colonists. Georgia was founded in 1732 by James Oglethorpe.
