The AI bot gives you a set of cards. You draw what it says then the bot scans your work. When you stop drawing it will try and guess what you've done. Possible classroom uses: 💡 use as a quick brain break or an activity when students come in from a break. 💡complete 5 drawings. Take note of the percentage the bot gives you. What was your overall percentage after 5 rounds? What would your result be as a fraction?

Create music with a brushstroke. Choose from four different canvases to begin (sky, street, paper, underwater) then the movement of your brush stroke is translated into music depending on the instrument you choose. Eaxh canvas has it's stamps you can use also. You can share with a link or screenrecord your compposition. Possible classroom uses: 💡listen to a piece of music and use the tool to paint what they hear. This could be a great way to help students develop their listening skills and creativity. (Thanks <a href="https://bard.google.com/">Bard</a>.) 💡create a collaborative piece of music - each students creates their own, screen records it and then together 'stitch them together to make one ouput. Encourage them to loop, repeat, split and reorganise their pieces.

Use Quick Draw and help contribute to the <a href="https://quickdraw.withgoogle.com/data">world's largest doodling set.</a> This is another Google experiment that uses the data set to help with machine learning research. (FYI - this is the data set that is drawn upon with for <a href="https://www.autodraw.com/">AutoDraw.</a>) The computer gives you an object to draw within 20 seconds and tries to match it as you're drawing. Possible classroom uses: 💡play the game. Look at the data set for one of the objects your drew. Choose one (or more) and recreate it using the same algorithm. Duplicate it with Google Drawings and add on to it to create an image. 💡use a fun game when you have a few minutes to spare.

Turn QR codes into artworks. It turns a photo of a face into part of the QR code in a cartoon style. Possible classroom uses: 💡the creative challenge could also be in what you attach to the QR code. Use a <a href="https://www.qrcode-monkey.com/">QR code generator</a> to link a file previously created then share with an authentic audience. 💡be creative about the connection between the image used and subject of the QR code destination.

Soundtrap for Education empowers students and teachers to explore creative sound recording in all subjects, for all ages and ability levels. This is a paid site but it does give you a 30 day free trial, so it's long enough to create a project if you like. There is support for teachers and resources you can use in your classroom. Possible classroom uses: 💡<a href="https://www.soundtrap.com/public/lessonplans/Math.pdf">learn about fractions</a> with musical notes 💡create a class or group podcast about daily classroom life (or anything that suits your context) 💡remember the <a href="https://www.soundtrap.com/public/lessonplans/Science.pdf">periodic table of elements</a> by creating a jingle or rap.

This is a site where you can create your own music using AI. You choose a genre, a tune is generated for you and then you can alter it in lots of different ways. <a href="https://youtu.be/sIRVn0sZ2FA?t=204">This You Tube video explains how.</a> You need Strofe coins to download your music - there are lots of ways to earn these for free or you can purchase them also. Possible classroom uses: 💡create an appropriate sound track to accompany a piece of writing. 💡discuss different musical instruements and create a track that focuses on a given number of them. 💡create an appropriate piece of music to use with a Scratch project.

A free online drawing or sketching tool that also has a library of clipart along with a range of text tools. You can upload images and use multiple layers. Just a region can be downloaded and there are multiple file types to choose from. Possible classroom uses: 💡create a poster to advertise a key competency and ways to engage with them in learning. 💡create visual maths problems for others to solve. 💡upload an avatar and use with at least one piece of clipart to create a poster explaining your one word for the year.

A cloud based stop motion animation app. No login required but your project won't save if you aren't signed in. (It's free to register and you can use your Google account to sign in.) Use the device camera to snap a series of images using the onion skin option to see the last image taken. You can import sound or record your own and add text titles and speech bubbles to your project. Possible classroom uses: 💡quick SEL check in or reflection on a task. 💡 create characters with dough and retell the main idea of a story. 💡explain a scientific (or any) process.

Canva is similar to Adobe Express and also has <a href="https://www.canva.com/education/">free accounts for educators.</a> There are hundreds of educational templates for lesson plans, stickers, learning tasks, posters, certificates or labels for your classroom. You can also start from the beginning and create your own. Canva allows you to create a class and share tasks straight to your students or copy a link and share with colleagues. You can add images, text, videos, elements, charts or upload your own media. There is a draw option and an option to connect with other apps such as Bitmoji. Possible classroom uses: 💡as the teacher create thinking organiser backgrounds for Jamboards (Tip: search 'online whiteboards' in the template section for ready made jamboard backgrounds.) 💡create a template slidedeck and push out to your students for them to create with to show what they know or to use as a writing prompt. 💡use the drawing function to 'show' their maths thinking.

Canvas is a simple chrome drawing app. It saves directly to your Google account. It has a basic toolbar consisting of pencil, pen, marker, chalk, and eraser tools, in addition to a color palette. You can also add multiple layers to a project. Work can be downloaded as an image file. Possible classroom uses: 💡import an image and add a layer over top. Add on to the image or recreate it. 💡upload an image of a page of a text. Identify nouns, adjectives and verbs then illustrate one using the context of the story but change it in some way. 💡show your maths thinking - you might create images for an animation of your thinking.

Possible classroom uses: 💡create a title for a task that connects in some way to the content of what has been produced. 💡add impact words to a task - make the keywords stand out in a striking font. 💡create banners for displays. You might create a word and then enlarge it using <a href="https://rasterbator.net/">Rasterbator</a>

<a href="https://typatone.com/">Typatone</a>

Typatone is&nbsp;a free online tool that converts text to tones. Each letter you type corresponds to a specific musical note putting a new spin to your composition. You can use the onscreen keyboard or the device keyboard as well as having the sound on as you type or listen once you've finished. Changing the background colour changes the tone and speed of the tones. You can download the as an audio file when you are finished. Possible classroom uses: 💡create a typatone output and challenge students to seee if they can work out any relationship between letters and tones. (FYI - The methodology of assigning music notes to letters of the English alphabet was based on a&nbsp;<a href="http://pi.math.cornell.edu/~mec/2003-2004/cryptography/subs/frequencies.html">study</a>&nbsp;by Cornell from 2003-2004 that analyzed the frequency of letters used when writing in English, based on a sample of 40,000 words.&nbsp;Typatone&nbsp;matches the most frequently used letters to more melodic notes of a lower pitch, and less frequently used letters to a higher pitch, giving more flavor to the composition.&nbsp;) 💡type a message and download it. Thunkable&nbsp;is the platform where anyone can build their own mobile apps. No coding is needed. It uses a simple drag-and-drop design canvas and has powerful logic blocks. There is a <a href="https://thunkable.com/#/pricing">free and paid </a>version available. Possible classroom uses: 💡work through a <a href="https://www.makersempire.com/what-is-design-thinking-a-handy-guide-for-classroom-teachers/">design thinking process </a>to identify issues that could be solved with an app, then create the app with a buddy. 💡create a school app - consult widely with stakeholders about what should be included. 💡investigate an existing app and reflect on how it might be improved. Challenge students to recreate it with a twist.

You type in the box given and it will let you know what words you can't use. Possible classroom uses: 💡use as a quick break/reset activity. One student says a topic and the first one to write a complete sentence about it with just words from the list wins. 💡create a description of an item. For every word not allowed, substitute with a x. Share your description with a buddy. Can they guess what you originally wrote. 💡discuss the list of 1000 words. How do you think it was created? Do you agree with it? How might you create your own version?

Unsplash is another site of free to use high quality images. You can filter by topic or see what's trending. If you create a free account you can save images to a collection. Possible classroom uses: 💡create a background in a Jamboard or Google Slide to add meaning to the text on top. 💡choose a texture or patterned image to use a text fill when making a poster or infographic in another site such as <a href="https://www.adobe.com/express/">Adobe Express</a> or <a href="https://www.photopea.com/">Photopea</a> or mask into shapes using Google Drawings. 💡use images alongside other tools to create visual poems or narratives.

<a href="https://www.unscreen.com/">Unscreen</a>

With Unscreen you can record your video footage anywhere, then simply get rid of the background. There are new backgrounds that can be instantly added if wanted. The free version allows for 15 seconds of footage only. It works well with gif files also. The <a href="https://www.unscreen.com/pricing">paid version</a> allows for full clips. Possible classroom uses: 💡create gifs with <a href="bookcreator://page/5dBSZwT9QV67t-lMQbtiLA">scroobly</a> then remove the background with unscreen. Upload to a jamboard, insert a new background and imagine away. 💡use the device camera to record a short clip performing an action that matches your writing. Save, upload to unscreen and remove the background. Ass to your Google Doc with your writing. 💡remove the background from a video. Choose a new one from within the tool. Use an audio tool to describe what is happening, what you see, what might happen next.

Often the images that students create don't have enough resolution to be used somewhere else. This site increases the resolution so the images can then be used in another tool. Upload the image - it shows you the original size and then the upscaled. You can change the settings it you like. Upscaled images download to wherever your settings dictate. Hour of Code has many coding activities that can be completed within a shorter time frame. No coding experience is needed. Activities can be filtered by grade, curriculum areas and more. Some activities also have accompanying teacher reslources. Possible classroom uses: 💡challenge students to complete the<a href="https://code.org/dance"> dance party</a> activity and then create their own dance sequence to share with others. 💡discuss sustainability of our oceans and complete the <a href="https://studio.code.org/s/oceans/lessons/1/levels/1">AI for Oceans</a> activity. Create a plan to care for your local waterways. 💡complete the <a href="https://learn.codeavengers.com/algorithms/0#1.1">Robot Restaurant </a>activity then use a grid to design your perfect classroom. Challenge a buddy to write an algorithm to collect a given object from your classroom.

Scroobly brings a doodle alive. You create your doodle then use the device on your camera to bring it alive. You can use an existing doodle or create your own. Save as a gif. Tip: turn your background off so you have a plain white one. You can then remove it using <a href="https://www.unscreen.com/">unscreen.com</a> and have just the scroobly itself. The further away you can get from your camera the more of your body you can use. Possible classroom uses: 💡create your scroobly and remove the background. Add to a Jamboard. Choose an image as the background. Tell the story of what happens. 💡how creative can you be in making your scroobly? Upload to a Google Slide when finished and match some audio to the movements. 💡use a quick movement/brain break activity.

Create music, add notes by simply clicking the grid. This is another Google experiment. Simply click on a space to add the note. You can change the instruments, the tempo, the scale and the range. You can use your computer keys. Press the arrow keys to move, enter and backspace to add and remove notes, and spacebar to play. You can also use your device microphone to record your voice while you play the tune you created. Possible classroom uses: 💡create a tune and rap their timetables to it. Do you need a different beat for different tables. 💡create a tune that reflects the mood of a chosen piece of work. Download and add to your Google Drive. INsert into a Google Slide to accompany the chosen piece of work. 💡use as a maths activity. Create a tune that fits a given criteria - maybe 1/4 red, 1/4 blue, 1/4 yellow amd 1/8 purple and 1/8 pink.

Scratch or Scratch Junior are free block coding sites that allow your students to create a range of digital outcomes. Scratch Junior is aimed at younger students and is great preperation for Scratch 3.0 as their skills progress. It is an app that is available from the Google Playstore. Scratch 3.0 is web based. Setting up an <a href="https://scratch.mit.edu/educators">educator account</a> is an efficient way of being able to see what your students are creating and getting them all logged in easily. <a href="https://csfirst.withgoogle.com/s/en/home">CSFirst</a> has helpful resources for teachers. Possible classroom uses: 💡animate their name in a way that tells something new about themselves with each letter. 💡create a dialogue between two characters that explains the main idea of a story. 💡create a game to reflect on the main idea or new idea that they learned about.

This is an open source collection of sounds from many different cities around the world. Click on a city and a list of sounds shows next to the map. Click on 'Street View' to change your view while you play the sound. Possible classroom uses: 💡choose a city that is in a story you are reading or a country you are discussing. Listen to the sounds in street view. Look around. What do you see? What might you see next? 💡screen record a streetview and it's sound then use in a Flipgrid story. How many can they stitch together to create a narrative? 💡create an 'emotion' digital outcome - find a streetscene and a sound to represent that emotion.

Capcut is a free video editing tool that has some AI features built into it. It works on any device and has a fabulous selection of tools to use. There is a great video <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTbndzxbKHs">here</a> that shows how to use them. It is free to use but there are some in-app purchases. Possible classroom uses: 💡create mini documentries - combine interview snippets,&nbsp;images,&nbsp;animations,&nbsp;and text overlays to create dynamic explainers. A great task to practise writing prompts. The AI creates an image and you have to write a prompt that would result in that image being created. It then uses your prompt to create an image and compares the two. You have to get more than a 50% match to score. Possible classroom uses: 💡practise descriptive writing, does the image change with the more detail you give? 💡work with a buddy. Complete a given number of rounds. Who gets the highest score? If you have the same image compare your prompts - how are the same, how are they different?

Write a text prompt to create a 360o image. You can create a new one or remix an existing one. You need to sign in to save your creation. Currently you can make 15 scenes free. You could create a scene from a book and then add detail about the characters actions. 💡create a setting for a narrative that's been written or create a scene from an inquiry task they've been researching. There is an editor that allows you to rub out what may have been missed or replace parts that may have been removed that you want to keep. There is also a library of backgrounds that you can add back in. It also links to their <a href="https://www.designify.com/">designify</a> site where you can create instant designs. The difference between this and their backgrounds is that the original changes size depending on the design you choose. Note: there is a free and paid version. The free version downloads in low resolution. Possible classroom uses: 💡remove the background then upload to the designify site. Choose a background then edit and add your own previously created logo or other image. 💡remove the background from images and combine into a new one. Create a playground of your dreams. 💡think about body language and facial expressions. Take a photo with expressions and create a visual digital outcome.

The Rasterbator enlarges images to multiple pages. Print and combine them into huge posters. Upload your image, choose the margin size and how many page you want it printed across. You can also choose the size of the paper you are printing on to. It prints as a multipage PDF for you to put together. Possible classroom uses: 💡resize a Google Slide to A4 landscape. Create your own target (be creative!) to print with this tool. Use it with sphero or roll blank dice and multiply number together. First to 100 wins. 💡create a poster with an SEL message. Print and put together to display. 💡use in junction with a maths activity - maybe creating a <a href="https://mathigon.org/polypad">kolam tile</a> and explain how many pieces of what size paper will result in what size digital outcome?

This tool can actually generate a number of different categories - see them all at the top of the page. You can choose how many words you want to generate, a word type (noun, adjective etc) staring and ending letters and word size. Or you can leave all the options blank and just generate random words. Possible classroom uses: 💡generate random words and challenge your students to write a sentence or short story using them all. 💡generate random words and challenge your students to create an image that incoporates all the words in some way. 💡use the syllable option and generate words with a certain number of syllables. Use word art and shapes in Google Drawings to create a digital outcome showing the seperate syllables with some visual connections.

Lottiefiles is a collection of animated files that you can edit. It's also a plugin within Canva and Figjam. You can use the animations as they are or you can choose a new colour palette. Possible classroom uses: 💡use them to personalise learning. For example, you could create a Lottie animation that explains a concept in a way that is tailored to a particular student's learning style. 💡you could get creative and make your own digital feedback stickers to students using these files - especially if you create them within canva and use the awesome text options.

Click on the peg and it drops somewhere in the world. Your goal is to select the correct letters to reveal what the dough is hiding. If you get it wrong you lose a star. Lose all your stars and the game is over. Possible classroom uses: 💡play the game as a class, collaborating together to solve it then inquire further into country, Challenge students to create their own dough sculpture to represent something they learned about. 💡play a few rounds then challenge students to create their own dough creation. What clues can they give their buddies to work it out?

Kandinsky is a Google Arts and Culture experiment that is inspired by Wassily Kandinsky, an artist who compared painting to making music. It turns anything you draw – lines, circles, triangles, or scribbles – into sound. Possible classroom uses: 💡challenge students to use the Kandinsky tool's shapes and colors to tell a story.&nbsp;They could create individual narratives or collaborate on a class story,&nbsp;bringing their creations to life with animation and sound effects.&nbsp; 💡challenge students to use the tool's shapes and colors to tell a story or evoke an emotion. They can create a series of compositions that progress through a narrative arc, or focus on a single image that captures a specific feeling.

Lunapic is a free image editor with a huge amount of tools built into it. There are filters, effects, art options, animation options and you can also draw on top of the image. Flip it, clone it, blur it, add a caption - there is so much you can do to an image with this tool. There is also a chrome web extension that allows you to right click on an image and open it in Lunapic. You can download your finished creation or save it straight to your Google Drive. Note: this site has ads. Possible classroom uses: 💡create an image that portrays the mood of a story using effects and filters. 💡use the drawing tools to add on to an image (might be an image froma story or a place in the world) and then add a suitable caption. 💡use the blur face tool for people in an image. Draw back in different expressions and then write about what they are thinking.

Possible classroom uses: 💡write a rap to explain how you can be kind to others and create your own music for it. 💡use when discussing patterns. Can your students create a tune that has a set pattern. This site can be used with the micro:bit although there is a simulator so it's not always needed. There is also a game arcade and Minecraft coding activities. Activities range from beginner to advanced - with tutorials available if wanted. Possible classroom uses: 💡code a rock, paper, scissors game for the micro:bit and use it to decide who goes first in a game. 💡create a ga,e to save the rainforest. 💡create someone you know as a sprite in a game.

Encourage students to experiment with colour of both the pieces and the backgound. Possible classroom uses: 💡challenge students to recreate an image using mosaic pieces. 💡create a pattern that has a given number of lines of symmetry. 💡play with a buddy - throw 2 dice, multiply or add together, choose an array that matches the number and create within. Mote allows you to add audio recordings to many different Google tools or even attach a mote note to a website. It can be used for teacher feedback but also allows your students to be creative when working in Google Slides by easily adding audio to their outcomes. Audio can also be easily added to Google Docs. Note: you will want to be sure you students are comfortable zooming their screens to be able to choose their characters and scene more easily. Kapwing has an easy to use timeline and can remove backgrounds from images. There are templates or start your own project from scratch. There are also some really helpful <a href="https://www.kapwing.com/resources/tag/education/">education resources</a>. You can create without signing in but nothing will be saved when you close the tab. Sign in with your Google account to save work. Signing in also allows you to download up to 5 min video with no watermark. There is a<a href="https://www.kapwing.com/pricing"> free and paid version</a>. Possible classroom uses: 💡create a wordcloud of important words for a topic study or that sum up a character from a story. Use a plugin to animate the words. You could even add an image of the character in. 💡create a meme to reflect on a completed task or as an SEL check in. 💡create a gif or movie of a moodboard showing goals or focus for the year ahead. Create musical tunes by building a town using objects like streetlamps, houses and trees to make sounds. Place the cars on the roads to play your creations. You could have older students work through it independently or you could work through it as a group or class. There are video introductions with great information and explanations included. Challenge learners to make their own A - Z. They could work independently or they could work collaboratively. You could even do it collaboratively as a class and assign certain letters to certain people or groups. Any tool that allows you to have multiple people interacting with a single, multi-page file could be used, e.g. Google Slides, Canva, Keynote, PowerPoint or even a Google Doc with a table already set up on it. You could add the letters in to begin with or let learners add them as they go. This would require them to collaborate further with each other so the design and colours have some consistency to them. They could record their thinking with text, images, voice, drawings or a combination. Note: Jamboard currently only allows for 20 frames - so maybe don't chose that tool.
