Welcome to Mt. Nebo Middle School

We are really excited to get to know you! There will be students at our middle school from EIGHT different elementary schools, in Payson, Santaquin, and Goshen. There are going to be about 550 students in both 6th and 7th gr which makes 1100 students total. That's a lot of people to meet!

Apple Valley, Goshen, Orchard Hills, Park View, Santaquin, Spring Lake, Taylor, and Wilson. 

Perhaps one of the best things about middle school is getting to choose what classes you can take. Not only do you get to choose what kind of fine arts you get to take, but you also get to choose another class. These kinds of classes are called electives.

We can't forget to tell you about the fine arts classes and how you get to choose what you like best. There are lots of options, including band, orchestra, choir, art, dance, or drama. Here is a little bit about each one so you can decide what you would like to sign up for.

At Mt. Nebo, our mission is to ensure deep levels of learning for ALL students, committing as a staff that ALL students will learn to R.O.A.R.

In addition to your POD classes, you will get to take a STEM class. The STEM class will help you create and explore connections in math, science, and technology and how they enhance all other subjects.

Because there will be so many students and this is your first experience changing teachers every subject, the school will be organized into pods so you have teachers looking after you making sure you're doing okay. Three of your classes will be with the same students and teachers who will really follow up with you and you'll get to know them especially well. These three classes will be in a row - so periods 1, 2, 3 or maybe 4, 5, 6 or something like that. These classes will be nearby each other. The other four classes will be spread out into other places around the school and introduce you to even more new friends. This makes seven total classes each day.
