The economy of the New England colonies (how people made money) was by fishing or whaling

The geography of the New England colonies is that there are natural harbors, dense forests, and the summer rains helped the crops grow. Also the forests supllied timber and the soil was very good.

The reason for founding the New England colonies was for religious freedom from the Church of England.<br/>Many of the first settlers died because they <br/>weren't prepared for the cold winter.​

All the regions have in common is that they all have good farming land. Also most of the people came from Europe. Last they all were under British rule.
