Today is the first day of elementary school
for the twins, Chloe and Tom; their mum
wakes them up at 7.30 and they can't wait
starting this new experience.
Chloe is a tall, thin girl
with long, curly and
strawberry-color hair
and blue eyes; she is
very shy and fearful.
Tom, instead, is similar
in terms of physical
appearance: tall, robust,
with wavy red hair,
blue eyes and freckles,
but in terms of
personality, he is almost
the opposite: he is
extrovert, lively and
sociable.

STORY TEAM 1
THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
Today is the first day of elementary school
for the twins, Chloe and Tom; their mum
wakes them up at 7.30 and they can't wait
starting this new experience.
Chloe is a tall, thin girl
with long, curly and
strawberry-color hair
and blue eyes; she is
very shy and fearful.
Tom, instead, is similar
in terms of physical
appearance: tall, robust,
with wavy red hair,
blue eyes and freckles,
but in terms of
personality, he is almost
the opposite: he is
extrovert, lively and
sociable.
The two get up happily and go to have
breakfast. Chloe has breakfast with milk
and cereal and Tom with eggs and orange
soda. After breakfast they go immediately
to get dressed: Chloe wears a blue dress, a
red sweater with the gold school crest, a
white shirt, a red headband and white
ballet flats; Tom is wearing blue pants, a
sweater like his sister's, a white shirt, a
red and gold tie and his new white shoes
with lights.
Once they have finished getting ready,
with the fear of being late, the twins
run into their father's car who, before
going to work, takes them to school.
During the ride both are very anxious,
Chloe doesn't say a word while Tom doesn't
pause for a second.
They have finally arrived: the school is
very large, on two floors, and is full of
flags and festoons in the colors of the
school and, on the main facade, there
is the coat of arms representing the school.
The children get out of the car, say
goodbye to their father and together
enter the main door where the new
teachers are waiting for them ...
They entered the classroom. The teacher
had not come yet. Chloe, who was shy,
did not want to leave her brother and
they sat together. But Tom wanted to
sit with his friend Ali, whom he knew
from kindergarten. He persuaded Chloe
and went over to Ali. The two friends,
who missed each other on summer
vacation, hugged. Ali came to school
wearing a red shirt and white pants.
This Tom wondered and asked:
-Ali, why did you choose these colors?
Is your favorite color red?
