Introduction to Beebots !
In week seven of digital learning, we were focusing on the topic of Beebots.
A Beebot is a programmable robot used to scaffold children's learning about coding.
Since I had never used beebots in primary school I was intrigued when my lecturer first demonstrated them to me.
I was curious to see how they could be used as an effective resource in the classroom.
However, through watching the introductory video on loop and observing my peer's approach to playing with the Beebots, I could see the positive effect they would have in the classroom.
Beebots are a great classroom resource, that teach children to code in an engaging and constructivist way.
My lecturer allowed us to use the beebots freely, investigating their design and pressing their buttons.
Through unstructured play I had to think independently and use my problem-solving skills to figure out how the beebot worked.
