By Megan SatorskiOnce upon a time Megan was a little girl. She was 3 years old. Megan's brother Donald’s saw Megan's stomach was getting big. Megan's brother thought she was pregnant so I told my parents.Cheryl and Don rushed her to the doctors and they said you have to take her memorial loan Kettering cancer hospital in new york. They were the best hospital. This hospital is a caring, compassionate , loveable and the greatest people you will meet. They took care of my daughter a lot. We found out she had kidney cancer and that she needed surgery to remove 1 whole kidney and 2 small spots of the other one.
Megan was very scared for her surgery. She did not know what was going on . The nurses and the anesthesiologist had to come in so they can do the persuader on her. Megan was so brave. She did not make a sound when they put the needle in. It took 3 hours to do the surgery. We wanted to make sure everything was right.
When Megan woke up from her surgery she was good. She got a stuffed animal from the nurses. It took her 1 week to recover and then she began walking again. When Megan was well recovers. We had a little celebration. We had a prom. She was wheeled out in a wheelchair and her family was surrounding her. She had a red dress on and a sparkly silver crown on. She was so happy she is now recovered and now is 12 years cancer free. She is a sophomore in high school. Without the doctors and nurses help Megan would of not had a complete recovery. The point of this story is to fight even though it’s hard!!
