Shepard Fairey&nbsp;is an American graphic artist and social activist who is part of the Street Art movement. He communicates via prints, murals, stickers, and posters in public spaces. “Art is not always meant to be decorative or soothing, in fact, it can create uncomfortable conversations and stimulate uncomfortable emotions,” he said. Born on February 15, 1970 in South Carolina, Fairey studied at the Rhode Island School of Design. In 1989 Fairey started the Obey campaign . he created a series of diffecrent stickers. The stickers appeared on walls all over the USA. He became famous. The artist is best known for his&nbsp;Hope&nbsp;(2008) campaign. It is a portrait of then-presidential candidate Barack Obama, in red, white, and blue. In 2017, the artist created a series of three posters— featuring portraits of culturally diverse women, again using a red, white, and blue color scheme—in response to the xenophobic speeches of President-elect Donald Trump. Fairey currently lives and works in Los Angeles, CA. His works are included in the collections of the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C., the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

This mural is very large : it is180 m2 . It was made in 1989 on the wall of a church in Pisa (italy). It took Keith Haring 4 days to complete the mural. A lot of people came to see him while he was working. There was loud music playing because according to Keith creation is a show, a party ful of joy and dynamism. He entitled his work of Art "Tuttomondo". The mural illustrates one of the artist 's favourite theme: peace and harmony in the world. There are 30 giant colourful characters. Each one is a symbol conveying a message or telling a story. Tuttomondo was Keith Haring last piece of work. Indeed, he died a few months later of AIDS. he was only 32 years old
