By sharing their research, discoveries, experiences, impressions, children develop, become comprehensive personalities, able to enjoy, learn to improvise, self-confidence, open, able to act and make decisions in a variety of circumstances.&nbsp;The international project "STEAM education in kindergarten - discoveries, experiments, research" is intended for children aged 3-6. The parents of the children actively contribute to the implementation of the project. 4. WHY DO NOT PENGUINS COOL EXPERIMENT

Since we are in the winter season, I proposed to the children to carry out a simple and easy experiment at home with their parents. Natalia presents the experiment! To make it you need the following materials:&nbsp;white napkins, markers and deep plate with water. Conducting the experiment: 1.&nbsp;Take a napkin and fold it into two parts. 2. The napkin is opened and a snowman will be drawn inside with the help of crayons.&nbsp;Close the napkin and draw snowflakes on the outside. 3. Put the napkin on the plate with water and watch what happens!

About an hour-two later, we saw that water from the full glasses go over the paper towel bridge to the empty ones. In the empty glasses we can see a new colours which were mixed from nearby colours: red with yellow = orange, yellow with blue = green, and blue with red = purple.

And do you know why this happened ?! Paper towels / disposable wipes absorb water because they are loosely woven - (wipes can be separated in layers, they tear easily, are very thin, almost transparent), so water can move between its fibers in all directions (up-down, left-right) . The Ąžuoliukai group is attended by 20 children. 12 girls and 8 boys. They are currently 5 years old. The priority of our group's education is communication competencies, STEAM competencies, creativity education, ecological education. We learn a lot of poems, we like finger games, books. The children are enterprising, active, curious. That's why we joined the eTwinning project.

This happened because when salt was added to the water, it became heavier than an egg. Well, in the third glass, where half the water was mixed with salt and half water plain, the egg remained floating in the middle of the glass because plain water and water with salt did not mix, (the upper water without salt is lighter than the egg and the lower one heavier). The saline solution at the bottom pushes the egg up, but plain water that is lighter than the egg does not allow it to rise up.

An erupting volcano is a lot of fun for children, who can spend hours causing spectacular eruptions and inventing more and more creative scenarios. And, moreover, it is an activity from which I can learn a lot about how a volcano erupts but also a little chemistry by combining two substances that you will surely find in your own kitchen. This activity was carried out by Natalia during the pandemic at the suggestion of the educator. Materials needed: foil, watercolors, vinegar and baking soda.

I don't think there is a child who doesn't like balloons and especially soap bubbles, as miraculous as they seem.
