Long ago, the Triglav region of Slovenia was not as rocky and rough as it is today. There were not even mountains at all. It was an exquisite meadow filled with wild goats and fairies. Their ruler, Zlatorog, was a majestic ibex with shining golden horns. Zlatorog guarded a secret treasure that lied beneath the Bogatin mountains. If Zlatorog was ever injured, a healing, pinkish-red flower (the Triglavska Roža) would emerge from the ground where his blood was spilled. One Trenta hunter called Goran knew about the secret treasure. Goran was deeply in love with the inkeeper's daughter called Ana but one unfortunate day, a rich merchant from Venice called Antonio came to the inn. Antonio showered Ana with gifts and money and eventually Ana refused Goran's flowers. Outraged, Goran decided to try to kill Zlatorog and steal his treasure. Goran aimed his bow and shot Zlatorog. Goran sprinted to the treasure and just as he was about to take it, Zlatorog ate the flower from his blood and stood up, instantly healed. Zlatorog dashed towards Goran and pushed him off the cliff.
Zlatorog was so furious that he chased away all the brainless goats and reckless fairies. He destroyed the beautiful land and made the rocky Triglav mountains we know today. Zlatorog still remains guarding his secret treasure in the Bogatin mountains. Here the Triglavska Roža continues to grow.

eTwinning Project In Harmony
Year 3, 4 and 5 primary pupils and teachers are participating in international eTwinning project with pupils from Wales, Latvia, Italy and Norway. From September to December, they were focusing on the health benefits of nature.
Pupils in year 3 were discovering different spices and herbs. They prepared a tea party and shared the recipe for their favourite tea with our project partners.
Pupils in year 4 were researching Slovenian medicinal plants to be able to answer questions prepared by Welsh pupils and teachers from Ysgol Y Dderi:
· What are the most used/common medicinal plants in your country?
· What are the threats to medicinal plants?
· What herbs and plants do you grow in your school garden for medicinal uses?
Pupils in year 5 were exploring Slovenian legends about medicinal plants. They presented the legend about Zlatorog.
We shared the outcomes of our work with the project partners. If you want to learn and see more, click HERE.

Zlatorog
There once was a mighty ibex named Zlatorog. He had majestic golden horns and a breath-taking brown fur coat. Zlatorog had audacious powers. His powers are that when he bleeds, a Triglavska roža appears and it can heal him if he eats it. He lived in the Triglav meadows. Zlatorog hides a grand secret treasure under the Bogatin mountains. Zlatorog had an enormous and fashionable kingdom which is now called the Triglav mountains. It was packed with goats and fairies.
The Trenta hunter is amazingly in love with the inkeeper's daughter. He was expecting a normal day when a wealthy merchant from Venice arrived and showered the inkeeper's daughter with expensive gifts. One day, when the Trenta hunter gave the inkeeper's daughter a bouquet of flowers, she refused and argued "No, I will not accept your flowers!!". The Trenta hunter was furious, so he decided he would kill Zlatorog for himself and steal the treasure.
The Trenta hunter spotted Zlatorog and shot him with a bow and arrow. Zlatorog got shot with the arrow and he started bleeding. His blood dropped on the soft and comfy meadow grass and the blood magically made a Triglavska roža emerge. Zlatorog was so mad he bolted the Trenta hunter off the cliff. Zlatorog ruined all the meadows to make it rocky, like it is today, and the treasure remains a mystery.

Do you ever get bored during lunchtime at school?
Do you ever get bored during lunchtime at school?
Well, this will change by the time you reach the end of this article. Here are five ideas of things you can do to eliminate boredom during breaks at school:
· First of all, you can go out and play in the playground. This way you can have fun while getting some fresh air and vitamin D.
· A second option is to chill inside with your friends and talk, or play cards and board games.
· Another idea is to attend one of the many cool activities offered by the school during the lunch break.
· This fourth option might not seem like much fun, but it will result in you having more free time at home: Yes, you could, maybe, do your homework or study for an upcoming test, so you would not have to worry about it later.
· Finally, you could read a good book. This is especially a good idea if you have an exam the next lesson. It will project you into another world, which will help you forget about any stress and allow you to feel more relaxed.

János vitéz összefoglalása
By Bartók Levente (P5E)
János vitéz megmenekült, ugyanakkor a pénz elveszett.

MADAME KATHLEEN DOMJAN POULET
MADAME KATHLEEN DOMJAN POULET
Bonjour Madame Poulet.
J'ai quelques questions pour vous.
Êtes-vous prête de les entendre ?
Alors allons-y !
Oui, j'adore enseigner !
4 – Qui aimez-vous ?
J'aime ma fille, Isabella, mon mari, ma famille et mes amis.
5 – Qui est votre élève préféré(e) ?
Haha, bonne question.

Voilà, j'espère avoir répondu à toutes tes questions comme tu l'as éspéré. Merci à toi !
