The titanomachy!

Long ago people could not explain the natural disasters. They were imagining several huge divine and terrifying creatures like the Titans, the Giants, the Cyclopses and the Olympian Gods mad with each other and fighting. As a result the earth was trembling and fire was exploding from it...

Once upon a time, the great Titan Chronos was the leader of everyone on earth. He took the place of his father by force and now he was afraid his own children would do the same one day. So he decided to eat them. His wife though, Rhea, didn't like that a bit and so when her last baby was born she hid him in a cave and gave Chronos to eat a stone instead..

That baby was Zeus. When he grew up he wanted to avenge his father the Titan Chronos who ate his brothers and sisters. So after leaving the cave he grew up in hiding, he left to find his father.

Zeus tricked his father and gave him to drink a potion that made him spit out all his brothers and sisters.

and a terrible battle begun between gods and titans...
